So I love the idea of this independent, non-chain restaurant in Auburn. The owner is very nice. The food locally sourced. The cuisine like home made Chinese food ( not Americanized Chinese). We heard the dumplings are excellent - they are more like pot stickers- I could not eat them as they are not gluten free but my daughter loved them. The menu is very limited and I had a hard time finding something to eat and have it be satisfying ( no gluten free options really). Tea was very good. As a person who works with the public - I often suggest to people try this place - give them a chance. I might go back if the menu ever increases and has gf options.

There were five of us at this restaurant getting caught up with each other. I ordered the Shrimp with broccoli and Jasmine rice and egg drop soup. One guest had Kung Pao Pork with fried rice, two other guests ordered Kung Pao Chicken; combination plate with chicken, pork and shrimp over noodles..we all had soup, egg rolls, crispy won ton and a big pot of tea. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our wait staff was impeccable. When in Auburn, try this wonderful restaurant.

Typical strip mall restaurant. Nice but unmemorable atmosphere. Good choices on their lunch menu. Be warned that plain chow mein is really plain. Just a stack of noodles . Everything was good. Wonton soup as a choice for lunch is unusual but nice. Service was very good and friendly.

There's nothing better than coming home after traveling for three weeks and going to your favorite Asian Restaurant. The food is consistently very delicious. I had to pack up two orders to go. It seemed that the favorite dish was chicken chow mein. It was all good food. The wait staff is always accommodating. Now they provide a delivery service called Food Jets and the delivery fee is under $4. It's becoming very popular to have your food delivered from this restaurant. I can't wait for the leftovers tonight.

I owe this place an apology. I ate here about 6 years ago, didn't care for the entree and have been putting it down since that time. They survived despite my evil tongue. Recently I heard good recommendations for their food so I came back.I had lunch there a month ago and again last weekend. I'm impressed, very competent Chinese food. I started both meals with Hot & Sour Soup, it's very good with all the things that are supposed to be there. A very full bowl with lots of ingredients. Chicken Curry last month, Orange Chicken this month. both flavorful and well prepared. Rice or an option of Chow Mein for an additional $1 round out the lunch plate along with a Cheese Wonton & Egg Roll. Filling & tasty. All this for under $9.00 on the lunch special. On the dinner menu there are a few Dinner Combination plates for under $12 which alleviates the problem of having a varied meal when dining alone. Not having to eat just one thing or having a lot of leftovers to take home after dinner is appreciated when dining alone. The restaurant is just a couple of doors down from Raley's at the Foresthill Exit, right next to the freeway the location should appeal to the passing motorist as well as the shopping locals.I wondered if the place had changed hands since I first visited and asked how long the current owners had been there. I was told 18 years. They sure must have been doing something right to have lasted that long. Looks like my early visit was just an off day for me, the restaurant seems to be doing just fine.
