Things to do in Athens
Staff was friendly but I ordered sauce with our sushi and received a small amount. Then ordered 2 more and he only brought one. Had to order more a third time. The food was good, kind of small portions on the sushi tools but huge plate of the beef fried rice. The tea tasted like it was a day or two old. Overall the food tasted good.

I'm a pretty big fan of Hunan Buffet. Mainly because of the sushi. The ability to eat as much sushi as I want and NOT pay $3/piece is nothing short of thrilling. They make a variety of rolls, and also have sashimi and plenty of fixings. That a bowl of miso or egg drop soup, crab-puffs, pot-stickers, dim sum and egg rolls are also available in addition to the variety of fried American foods and other Asian cuisine makes Hunan Buffet not only a great value but a desirable destination for dinner when you know not what you hanker for ("indiscriminately hungry"). In addition to the buffet you can select ingredients and order hot and steaming dishes from the grill. The restaurant is clean, the staff incredibly efficient and friendly and ti's a favorite of Asian people (judging from the dominant customers present at any given time/day) which, I think (?) is a decent gauge of the quality of the food. What Hunan Buffet lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in value.
New venue as of September, 2016. Attempts a "round the rim" Asian menu, with some Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Asian-influenced entrees and appetizers.Fresh spring rolls adequate for price and location. Sushi selection somewhat limited, but that isn't a bad thing but for a place in small-town East Texas.Thai fried rice was average, but they're still getting a handle on spiciness - most of the locals would end up in the hospital if served a true "four star" Thai heat.I gave them an initial "average" rating for food, but they had barely opened and were still doing trial runs on everything. I fully expect the chow to improve with a little practice and input from the locals.Wait staff, manager and owner all small-town friendly and interested in hearing what the diners think.Price very reasonable for what they're offering, but I've been big-city spoiled for years. This will likely become more of a lunch place than dinner hang-out, but time will tell.Been back twice, and will go again.
