Things to do in Vicuna
Our Beer Bar is located in the center of the city of Vicuña in the Elqui Valley, where the traditional Leiva Bakery was located for almost 100 years. With this project we seek to connect the bakery tradition with entrepreneurship and beer innovation, to o
There's a really nice garden where you can sit having an artesanal beer and eat something. The food is nothing special, at least what we tried: in the chorillana (french fries with caramellized onions, meat and fried eggs) the fries were not well fried, the chocolate cake and the rice pudding (really wrongly executed) were basic. If you like artesanal beer, this can be a really good place, just don't come for the food.

With memories of the best cheese empanadas in Chile from 12 years ago we were eager to have dinner. We should not have bothered. Canned vegetables as salads. Braised goat that was dry and lacked flavour, even salt. Time to move on to s new favourite or cook ourselves.
Muy buena atención, sandwich delicioso y muy buena cerveza, muy recomendable. A pesar que habÃa bastante gente la atención fue rápida.

We are the first craft brewery in the Elqui Valley. We produce our beers with fotovoltaic solar energy and we are certified as a B Corp. Visit us in Diaguitas and you will be able to know about our history, our production and live the Guayacan experience
I love Guayacan beer and I order whenever I can in Santiago and anywhere in Chile. So I arrived at the Guayacan brewpub with high expectations. They were not met. The atmosphere is just right, with trendy tables and benches made out of palettes and the beer menu written artfully on a chalkboard. As we waited for the server I picked cigarette butts out of the flower arrangement on the table. My party of 6 contemplated what we would order. A woman at the bar told us that the kitchen was not fully open and they were only serving empanadas, salads and papas fritas. When our server arrived and we ordered salads and empanadas he informed us that, actually, only papas fritas were on offer that day. We contented ourselves with a beer order. Sadly, they were also lacking the special brew Diaguitas 33. As we waited for our order of papas fritas we watched table after table of guests experience the same disappointed revelation that we had. Poor waiter, it wasn't his fault! When our papas fritas arrived we realized that they were straight out of a supermarket frozen foods section. We asked for the bill, guzzled our beers and left. Some day Guayacan will have management worthy of its excellent beer. The facilities, the beer and the menu are in place. But for now, visitors to Diaguitas should not arrive with an empty stomach.

We went here as part of a shore excursion from Coquimbo Chile. This restaurant uses solar heat to cook their food. They showed us their ovens before we sat down for lunch and told us how they worked.I had the goat which was good and it tastes like it was cooked in a crockpot since this cooking method is slow cooking as well. The buns were also cooked in a solar oven as well and they were more dense than usual and they don't brown in this type of oven. The salad was very good as it was locally grown in the Elqui valley. My friend enjoyed the Chile wine that came with the meal. I would recommend eating in this restaurant if you visit the Elqui valley as the cooking method is very novel and the service and the food was good.

This restaurant serves pretty good food. Would normally have rated three stars, but I thought the creative method of preparation warranted an additional star. Pretty cool to think all the food was cooked by the sun. The set lunch menu included bread, a big salad, chicken, rice, and a dessert than was like flan but with a harder, rougher texture (made with semolina, I think). Portions were generous. Service was efficient and friendly. We enjoyed the peaceful, vineyard setting. Note that the restaurant is not in Vicuña but rather in Villaseca, a neighboring village. Use GPS or it may be difficult to find.
Chilean Typical Sandwiches, Premium Pisco Bar, Fresh seafood on weekends... All in a beautiful terrace!
Probably the best restaurant in Vicuna. Fresh seafood and innovative preparations. The owner provides personal attention to every guest (at least in the off season when we were there). The patio is lovely and the service was great.

âSlow Foodâ made with quality ingredients and served expediently, excellent and smooth Anima micro-brew on tap (the IPA has an IBU of 80!), and friendly staff. Most importantly, this place has relaxing atmosphere with pleasant music playing at an enjoyable, non-intrusive level. A very rare trait and treat in Vicuña and beyond.

Tatul Diaguitas is born of a dream ingrained for years, aimed at rescuing old family recipes from Germany and Italy. Prepared with typical products of the area in order to highlight the authenticity of their dishes. All this in a pleasant and friendly atm
My party of 6 had lunch here after being completely let down by the Guayacan brewery down the street. We should have come here first. The service from a father-daughter team was impeccable and the ambiance was homely and inviting. The menu focuses on vegetarian dishes but does include some meat dishes. Everyone in my party, including the little kids, were very pleased with their meal. My wife and I shared a vegetarian pizza with a cacophony of toppings. It was topped, cooked and presented to perfection. This place also offers the quite good Anima craft beer, which is at least equal to Guayacan. The portion sizes are generous. My wife and I skipped dinner that day and our friends took some with them for dinner. All 6 of us ate for 50,000. This is definitely your best bet for Diaguitas.
