This restaurant is a gem; we sat on the balcony literally a few feet from the water. The owners and staff made us feel like family; one waitress even spoke German/English and suggested to us all kinds of other wonderful things we can do while on the Island. And - for those who travel Chile will appreciate this - the washrooms are new and super clean. Although the Costa Pacifico is 27km west of Ancud, it is more than worth the scenic drive to get there. We combined it with a Penguin Tour which can be booked in Ancud.

3 local fishermen with their families set up this little restaurant right on the Puñihuil beach overlooking the islands with the penguin colonies. Besides the typical local food like fish, shell fish and empanadas, we offer real coffee and delicious home-
This place is directly on the beach, and there is no town to support it. I guess they live off of people like us â coming to see penguinos. Our server was patient with our lack of Spanish. The view is great. The fish was awesome.Hi Morgan thanks for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your visit to Puñihuil and to our restaurant. Have a great stay in Chile.Katja

Flavors of Chiloé and the World Fusion cuisine based on local, organic and agroecological products.
Excellent vegetable bake and very nice lamb stew. They had several different dishes than the all-too-uniform menus of other restaurants in the region. Wait staff were friendly, fund, and helpful. Highly recommended.Thank you JimE_Colorado for your visit. We hope that we can welcome you again.

This is offf the main road on a dirt road along a beautiful sea coast. The menu is all oysters--we had both fried and fresh. The owner gave us a wonderful introduction, and was very charming. It is in a brightly painted little house with a pretty view. Served with crisp white wine. Definitely worth the detour.

Family restaurant that maintains the cultural and gastronomic traditions of the Island of Chiloe
I was there with my family recently. Luis was an excellent host. He knows a lot about Chiloe island history. Everything there was fine: food, service, beverages. It's a small place so a suggestion make a reservation before be there.

A lovely place to stop for a snack and the view. It was also a relief to find such a clean place after the rather grubby outskirts of Ancud. We also had a great welcome there.

Restaurant that offers global cousine with local products.
This place is really cool! You enter and you feel the coziness in the furniture and atmosphere. But the service is really bad. I came one night just for a couple beers and you could tell that none (but one waitress) had a clue. Mistaken drinks, took to long to bring a cocktail (even the pizza came before). By a he way, the pizza was really good, with great ingredients. The beer selection was good too.
