Located on the banks of a stream build at the end of â800 this farm, restored to its former glory in 2012, has retained the atmosphere of this part of Tuscany on the border between Siena and Grosseto. Locanda Sant'Anna is a historic farmhouse, unique in i
The first time I was impressed by the delightful location and the wonderful meal. 6 courses, wine, water, bread included for only â¬25 inclusive .2 years later we have visited again. The location is still delightful . An 18th century Tuscan country Inn of great charm beautifully restored; set in large gardens where you can have a pre dinner drink. It is now an Agriturismo with 4 fine rooms offering dinner (lunch on Sundays) not only to guests but to the general public as well. This is what we were served on 5 June, 2015.A Crepe filled with asparagus puree, garnished with perfectly grilled spear of asparagus Tempura of zucchini flower, sage leaf, zucchini, & delicious tiny meat balls seasoned with lemon zest. Tortelli with ricotta & spinach with a pesto of rugula & parmesan Homemade (as was everything else) spaghetti with wild boar sauce. Each of these was perfectly divine.ThenTagliata ( thick top grade steak grilled as charred on outside and rare inside, sliced as thick as 2 pound coins ) with a sauce of olive oil, anchovies and capers which made the meat doubly delicious, served with bitter greens..Green beans, tomatoes, onions and a touch of chili. Then a choice of 3 desserts. We each had a different one and all refused to share as each was so delicious.Water, bread, wonderful wine & coffee were included. The owner then came to sit with us bringing with her luxury chocolates and the most amazing dessert wine (Barolo Chinato) which she insisted she and I should share. The entire meal was absolutely the best food I have had in a year and it cost ONLY â¬25 PER PERSON.You would be mad not to make your way here while visiting southern Tuscany.

The owner of our hotel recommended this restaurant. I must say thank you. A very cute place where you feel at home. Good typical food but you must be prepared to pepper. In Tuscany they use it a lot but here it was the main taste.

This was my first experience of Wild Boar on the trip and the stew was really nice. They also have a platter of grilled meat that I will recommend for those who like their meat.

Our chef knows how important it is, not to follow the fashions in the kitchen. For this, to eat well is for us synonymous of the equilibrium between past and present. We believe in the care of every one of our dishes and in the guardianship of traditional
I went yesterday evening with two friends in this lovely restaurant in the wonderful Maremma countryside. The food was delicious as was the housewine, which comes direvtly from the the estate of the beard owner and cook, Tommaso . You can taste local products from the place including the famous Tortelli maremmami, the wildboard with orange, and the fried artichoke-balls. The setting is very attractive, being the restaurant in a a sort of greenhouse on a prairie. If you are in Maremma it is really worth the detour. I also found the price very reasonable with excellent value for money.Thank you so much for your positive review. The philosophy of Re Sugo is really oriented to preserve the ancient and traditional âmaremmanaâ cuisine with passion and innovation. In Maremma we usually cook wild boar with a classic tomato sauce but, in line with our ideas, we have developed a new recipe with aromatic herbs and oranges. I'm happy that you like it. Another important choice of our restaurant is the selection of typical products from small producers located near to the restaurant. Mr. Silvano Mori is a renowed "salumiere" from the village of Torniella and is very famous because his truffle salami is sold in London by Harrod's. Tomatoes, sauces and vegetables are fresh and we prefer hydroponic crops without chemicals. I hope to see you soon in the Maremma to enjoy good food and a good wine! La Ciottolona is a small restaurant with a shady cool garden and pool (don't forget your swim wear) :)The menu is based on the "slow food" movement with local ingredients and tasty surprises such as lemon in the tortellini and capers with anchovies in the vinegar they serve within the slices beef (tagliata di manzo). They also serve a refreshing white wine which goes great with the garden setting under the grape vines. The manager is super friendly and will make you feel at home in his restaurant.

We were staying in a villa (La Pergola) at the top of this hamlet about 300 metres away and it was wonderful to have this restaurant in walking distance. We ate here three times in the week we were here. The service is friendly, attentive and as fast as you want it to be. The food is excellent, freshly prepared and copious, with excellent pizzas (availabilable evenings only). The menu is broad enough for a small place with plenty of options for two vegetarians among us. The terrace is a pleasant arbour with sunshades and the interior a typical old tuscan stone building with a covered veranda. The service is excellent (the restaurant was not crowded at the times we were there). We had two/three courses, house wine and bottled water and the bill never came to more than 25 Euros per head.

Specialises in meat from Cinta Senese, a rare pig breed but also very good beef. The outdoor seating in the summer is very pleasant.

The restaurant la Rosa Blu is located outside the village of Roccastrada, picturesque village of medieval origins, between the charming metalliferous hills of Maremma. Is possible to taste the local production as a selection of cold cuts and Tuscan crosti
Amazing! All food made fresh! The views were perfect. The son is the waiter, the mum does all the pasta and veg, the dad the pizza and meat. Oh and the dad sings for the entertainment! 100% the best food and atmosphere on our 2 week trip. We are going again tomorrow, just wish we had found it earlier as we go back home in 2 days :(. The son even let me see his German Shepherd puppies (may have lost my mind a bit at this as Iâm such a dog person). You have to eat here!

A typical Tuscan inn where you can enjoy the dishes and the special welcome of the interior Maremma. From Nada is a synthesis of pleasures.
Stayed in nearby villa for six weeks and ate here once a week with our group of 13. Everything we ate was delicious and we tried almost everything on the menu and even a few things that weren't to those with dietary restrictions. This family run restaurant has it all - great vibe, terrific service, reasonably priced, beautiful view. This area of Tuscany is not on the usual tourist route but is well worth the effort. I'm forever ruined for their chicken marsala and hope to return.
