Reviews on Central European food in Zug, Canton of Zug, Switzerland. Zug (German: Zug, [tsuːk] ( listen); French: Zoug; Italian: Zugo; Romansh: Zug; Neo-Latin Tugium), is an affluent municipality and town in Switzerland. The name Zug originates from fishing vocabulary; in the Middle Ages it referred to the right to pull up fishing nets and hence to the right to fish.

The CU Restaurant sets trends because of both its urbane interior with international flair and its innovative cuisine that specializes in light, healthy, fresh dishes. The daily specials provide a contrast to the tapas served in the bar and get-together a
We booked a table in advance and when we got there we were given what was easily the worst table in the house. We didn't have a starter but the apero took AGES to come. We had to ask for everything even cutlery and the wine menu. The food, at least mine, was really poor actually terrible. Kalbspaillard on risotto. Served with Ketchup. What???? no issue with charging though..it was expensive The wine was the cheapest crap available and sold for a lot of money. This is really a bad restaurant and I would advise you to steer clear...I know I willHallo from the CU-Team!In general it is very important to us to receive constructive criticism to improve our standards and to be aware about unhappy guests. Even better, just to inform the staff during the visit about any extra wishes or problems to make the stay as good as possible. However, this commentary is neither helpful for us nor for further guests and written in a very unprofessionell and rude way.The CU Restaurant is a well designed place and very exclusively furnished, therefore we donât have any «worst table» in our restaurant. The «Kalbspaillard» is one of our favorite dishes, served with tamarillo chutney and very much estimated by our guests (obviously you donât know the difference between ketchup and tamarillo sauce!).Also we do not serve «cheap crap wine», we offer a variety of different well known international wines.Isnât it strange to finish wine and food and complain about it afterward

I was visiting on business in Zug and came here for a burger and drink at around 15:00. Only other two tables were busy.My experience was average, good burger, average beer and professional waiting on a restaurant that probably made some rich architect even richer.Soulless, but ideally located next to the train station and perfect if you are waiting for the train.Dear Stefano AThank you for your review. We are happy to hear, that your experience matched your expetctations. The restaurant is during the holiday-season not that croweded as usually. Hope you enjoyed the quiet, sunny place next to the trainstation. We are happy to welcoming you again at Pier41.Your Pier41-Team

After walking every street to end our Swiss-trip with a Fondue on our last night, we gave in to the tourist trap and went for a crowded, by the water restaurant with great views of old bridge. We ordered the fondue like most tables, but having eaten it so many times including making it myself, this was the most disappointing one I had. Possibly using the cheaper mix of cheese and no wine in it. Would not recommended for a big meal but ok for a snack, great place for a drink

First the worst part : sound. The place is SUPER loud...really annoyingApart from that, an ok experienceWaiters/tresses were nice and smiley but clearly rushed so led to a few small issues/slownessWine list small-ish but ok priced (for Switzerland)Very large menu, lots of choices (esp in pasta/pizaa...way more reduced for anipasti)The buffala was excellentThe spaghetti were very well cooked, but I found the carbonara too creamy and lacking in meatThe tagliatelle with mushrooms were well cooked as well, but maybe with too much garlic (killed a bit the mushroom taste) Would return to try some other pasta

Businesslunch, italienische Spezialitaten, Pizza und Pasta, auserlesene italienische Weine, Firmen- und Privatfeiern, wir organisieren gerne Ihren ganz besonderen Anlass im Puccini.
For a lunchtime visit at the end of May we could have expected to be sitting outside looking at Zugersee, but no, heavy rain sent us inside hoping for soup on the menu! Well, the lunchtime menu offered soup or self-service salad and bread plus a main meal for just over Chf 20, one of us had saffron/courgette risotto and the other had chicken and mushroom tagliatelle. The portion size was more than adequate and the food was very, very good.In addition the service was great, very friendly and helpful. All in all a very successful outing, with drinks and for around CHF 60.

Tradition gepaart mit gastronomischer Qualitat und einzigartigem Ambiente.
This is a place that I have eaten several times and never had anything less than an excellent meal.Private room with very festive decoration. The food was all good, but a special mention to the Bisque dâHomard and the Tournedos Rossini. Meat is always good here, but this time it was particularly succulent and tender. Bravo!Great wines and friendly and efficient service.Highly recommend, as ever!

We've been there many times since this facility was converted from farm to kindergarten to restaurant some 30 years ago and our assessment remains stable. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of Lake Zurich; inside is a cozy wood-paneled "Stubbe" atmosphere - or an equally cozy atmosphere in their wine cellar, which is the real trade of the house; just their food is uneven, some original ideas very well prepared but occasionally you hit something really strange and distasteful. Our latest experience was however perfect: a trout!
