Reviews on Central European food in Vilnius, Vilnius County, Lithuania. Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, contains one of the largest surviving medieval quarters in Europe. Included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Old Town contains almost two thousand medieval, gothic, renaissance, and baroque buildings, all centered on the neo-classical cathedral and town hall. Other popular attractions include the KGB Museum, located in a former Soviet prison, and the 13th century Higher Castle, which affords a glorious view of the city center.

Modern Italian cuisine with a twist of fine-dining. Restaurant is located in the center of Vilnius, near the famous Islandijos street, which is full of bars, clubs and pubs .
For dinner your only option is set a 4 course menu (with possibility to make adjustments due to allergy and such) but the one we had was great. At 35 ⬠it is not only affordable but even cheap. Short but good wine list.

I found this fantastic restaurant in the old town of Vilnius. The restaurant has the best mussels I have ever tasted. Before dinner they served fresh bread, with delicious homemade herbal butter. The waiter recommended a lovely wine to accompany the food. Definitely worth a visit when in Vilnius

Refined Lithuanian cuisine has developed over many years in nobles' and wealthy citizens homes and had stopped naturally to evolve after II World War. Our restaurant pursue traditions of city(bourgeoisie) cuisine of Vilnius by collecting recipes from the
This little place is situated just off the main tourist drag of Piles. It has a town house feel - lots of traditional dark wood furnishing, nick knackery adorns most walls and surfaces, giving a feeling of relaxed, cozy comfort. Our waitress however was not relaxed but super-perky - providing a chipper, attentive and friendly service. The food has an old school rustic feel - wholesome but not stodgy. I went for a delicious starter of Jerusalem artichoke and buckwheat soup. A little earthy but pleasant. My main of venison was succulent and melt in your mouth. It was very reasonably priced. One to try.

We had an evening meal here and it was excellent, unpretentious food, with friendly, helpful staff. The menu is not extensive but a vegetarian can eat well and know that the food is freshly prepared and well presented.

This is a meat place . Well cooked meat, selection of side dishes. Useful wine list. Good service. A simple restaurant room. Outside dining possible weather permitting. Relatively expensive. Good location.

Sweet root was a great experience, the staff was relaxed and friendly yet excellent and professional. The food was interesting, complex and very tasty and worked well with the wine pairings. During the entire evening, we had a great conversation about the wine pairing and the food served with our waiter that was just lovely. As someone who has eaten at many Michelin star restaurants, I am surprised they don't have one. First of all, thanks for choosing our restaurant for your dinner in Vilnius! It was definitely lovely hosting you and showing the flavours of Lithuanian summer in the plate. Glad you enjoyed the wine pairings as well, even the fried dumpling with the Amontillado Jerez:) Hope to see you soon again!Sigitas | on behalf of Sweet Root

Small cozy Vinery type 1st floor with solid wine list and a la cart menu. Beautiful and wide basement part with set tasting menu, chefs finishing and presenting the every single dish by the table.
The dinner was a set degustation menu paired with wines. The venue is held in the basement of the Antagonist Hotel. The chef personally provided detailed description of each course. The food was delicious and the presentation of the food was very innovative.Service was prompt with a nice touch at the end with the chef providing his signature chocolate bar to each guest.

Cafe is located in the basement of XVI sentury. The cozy atmosphere and romantic atmosphere of the Middle Ages will not leave you indifferent. A tasty meal, cooked on fire, and large portions will leave an indelible impression. We have breakfast since 9:0
A small charming place with soft music and good lunch offer! We took cold beetroot soup which was delicious. The mushroom soap was unfortunately boring. The grilled chicken good and the Cyrlius beer went perfectly down The waiter was very attentive!
