Independent Black Forest locales dating back to medieval times, in 1971, Titisee and Neustadt (along with Rudenberg) banded together to form Titisee-Neustadt. (A few years later, nearby towns Langenordnach, Schwärzenbach and Waldau also joined the union.) Long known as a spa town, Titisee sits on the banks of the lake of the same name. Legend says the name came from Roman Emperor Titus, who was so taken by its beauty that he named it after himself. The area is great for hiking and winter sports.

Crossover. Fusion. Regional. International ... In the kitchen of the boutique Hotel Alemannenhof we put all our eggs in one basket! But ... we only allow food that taste good, like wasabi cream on cucumber and chilli soup! We also do classic dishes (trout
We stayed a few days in Hotel Alemannenhof on half board basis.Breakfast is great - excellent quality and wide variety - good service even though often a lot of people ...Dinner was mixed feeling - quality of food is good although very sweet. For â¬50 per person one could expect a bit finer prepared food. Service during dinner seemed to struggle a bit, although always friendly and helpful - but sometimes it took a long time before food and drinks were served.

We stopped there on our walk around the lake. It is a cozy place, the owners were really nice and their homemade peach cake was delicious. You have a wonderful view across the lake from there too.

We booked the restaurant well in advance but didn't feel welcome compared to the live in diners. There was a salad buffet but it wasn't clear as "outsiders" whether we were supposed to use it and struggled to get an answer but we had a lot less cuttlery on our table so I took that as a no. We both ordered a soup followed a chicken dish prepared with coconut milk and served with rice - the food when it eventually arrived was very good. We felt on our table service was poor

Had lunch here while on break from our tour of the Black Forest. It's a cozy place near the lake. Had the Schweinshaxe and Schwarzwälder Kirsch Torte (Black Forest Cake) and it was good though I was expecting much more of the cake. Service was good.Dear Sam,thank you for your visit at our restaurant and your rating. We are glad to hear, that the food tasted good. The Black Forest Cake is homemade and we are sad that you didn`t like the taste. The next time you have to taste our other delicious homemade cakes.Wish you all the best.

We regret that our restaurant is currently only serving our houseguests until further notice, we are so sorry about the inconvenience!
Since reviewing Bierhaeusle two years ago, we've visited a few times. It has been invariably excellent. Back in the area for the northern summer and made it here as quickly as possible. We weren't disappointed. The food, once again was delicious. The menu is not broad, but what they do is great. Very fair prices, friendly owners, food is great, wine is good and fairly priced .... I'm not sure what else you can ask for. Eat here. Thank you so much, we are very happy that you returned and were not disappointed, all the best wishes for you and perhaps see you again one day;))))

We had dinner at this restaurant. Our waiter was terribly unfriendly. Did not seem to enjoy his job. When we asked if ice tea was available, only a growl came out of his mouth (it was not available). They serve fresh fish, however all the fish we ordered were tasteless: no pepper or herbs were used at all. It seems like they don't care about service; a lot of tourists will dine here anyway thanks to the location.

Based on TA rating we went to have dinner in this restaurant and weren't disappointed. The summer salad is soooo fresh and full of taste, my trout was perfectly fried in butter with boiled potatoes a perfect match. My dearest had pork loin which was perfectly grilled and tender. The Black Forest cake was the weak spot of the dinner If the owners would put some fans inside to ventilate it would be much nicer...

Wandered in off the street into this superior hotel and restaurant. We were treated very warmly and we went through the menu and our questions we eagerly answered. We ended up ordering 3 different main courses. Mine was fish and was cooked to perfection.A great meal was finished off with very good coffee.

Holiday in the Black Forest Hello and welcome! The inn Heiligenbrunnen is nestled in the beautiful and lovely landscape of the southern Black Forest at 1,025 meters above sea level between Hinterzarten, Breitnau and Titisee-Neustadt. Far away from the noi
This restaurant is off the main roads, on a green hill, which makes its surrounding area very relaxing and beautiful in spring time.Heiligenbrunnen mean "Holy fountain" and there is one in the restaurants open yard. The restaurant itself is inside what used to be a church, with some of the relics still inside. We came here especially after we've seen the reviews here - and I can say the food is good, but not great, for example, I had a Goulash soup that was very very salty, the Schnitzel was OK. The desserts were much better. If you're afraid of dogs or cats take heed because the house roam free in the restaurant, but my children liked that a lot.Good visit if you have the time, but not a culinary must.
