Food was yummy, but the (way too many) staff were very uncoordinated, slow and we had to wait far too long we were served. The apprentice did a great job but all the senior staff in suits didnât do anything. Prices were pretty expensive, especially considering what you get for what you get.Good location and good food, but lots to improve in order to become a quality adress.

Tasteful food and cosiness! Spanish-Portuguese dishes and Swiss specialities. Enjoy our popular Cheese-Fondue.
On a night when most restaurants in the old town of Thun were crowded, Casa Iberica was not, and that should have been our tip off. While nothing is wrong with this restaurant, nothing was especially noteworthy. The Portuguese menu items didn't really inspire us, and the German/Swiss items which we ordered (to include schnitzels and roesti) were pretty standard in size, quality. As another reviewer noted, the food tended to be a bit too salty. Beer and house wine prices are reasonable for Thun. Decor was Portuguese inspired overlaid on what was obviously a Swiss themed restaurant. No issues with service.Good evening Ladies and/or gentlemenI am very sorry you didn't enjoy your visit at my restaurant Casa Iberica. It's a pity you didn't tell us you weren't satisfied at the moment, so we could have tried to make your visit a great experience. For our clients to be satisfied and to enjoy their time at my restaurant, is the most important thing to me and my employees. It would be a pleasure for me, if you would come back some day. Can I ask you, when you came to Casa Iberica? Cause we were closed for vacation from july 4th to august first. The truth is that our restaurant has less clients in summer, because we don't have a terrace so people prefere to go to the Mühleplatz, where they can sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Once again I am very sorry you didn't enjoy your meals at Casa Iberica and hope we will have the chance to convince you of our quality someday. With my best regardsMario Correia

Cold foggy day in Stefissberg. Saturday. Need to eat, and enjoy time with my wife. I know the Restaurant well. The food is First Class. But, this day was to be ruined by Bad Tempered North East European personell who thought that asking for Bread and Butter after waiting for thirty five minutes an offence worthy of physically throwing my Wife and I out of the Restaurant. They accused us of being unruly Customers. all we wanted was a spoon to eat the Soup with and Bread and Butter because the meal was taking so long.

What an incredible find, attentive service, excellent food and brilliant prices (22chf for a 2 course set lunch). Not often you find somewhere that offers some great vegetarian options with the same care as the meat dishes. Service wasn't rushed but perfect speed to take time between courses and enjoy the view. With waiting staff being attentive without being intrusive. The most incredible setting and great attention to detail from the staff.Just need to go back to try the afternoon tea and an evening meal!

Charming Italian service we were recommended dishes and wine to suit our tastes - veal Piccata was tender, juicy and nicely browned, a generous portion with a good Rosti and a selection of fresh vegetables at a reasonable price. We noticed during the not unreasonable preparation time that other customers were just enjoying a good book and a coffee or occupying a table alone whilst reading the paper with a glass of chilled white wine - no-one was made to feel they were overstaying their welcome. And a great corner for peoplewatching at the end of the pedestrian Baelliz. We will certainly eat here again, probably at night in the upstairs restaurant.

One can find good food in Switzerland but it usually is somewhat expensive. Here we are far from the big cities and have managed to eat at a reasonable price: 109 CHF or $120 for a 2 x main dish, desert and a beer. There are in fact 2 restaurants in this hotel: a fancy one with fancier dishes and a family type one with wooden tables and chairs inside but not nearly as attractive as sitting on the terrace â weather permits. The chef is the same as well as the basic ingredients. Tip: The location is hard to find and a GPS is a must.

We waited a long time to get service, and there was nobody else except us. After 45 minutes, we finally got the menu, ordered our food. A group of 40 Swiss came from the opposite side hotel (where we were) and sat down, they didn't get any service either. They sat, talked for about 20 minutes, then they all got up and left. We waited for awhile for our food to arrive, after about an hour, we got up and left too. Maybe the chef got on the boat and sailed away.Dear SirThat was not in our restaurant. At the date of your visit, we have had an event an we were fully booked. Every seat was previously booked and we were 5 people working front of house. There is also no hotel opposite of our restaurant.I ask you friendly to delete your comment. We are very sorry you had a bad restaurant experience. Try our restaurant the next time. Hope you will be happy at our place.Thank you!Simon

I had a lovely evening with my family (3people) the service was excellent and very attentive, which is important for me. The food was simply delicious and the main course was served by the chef himself! They had no problem with a little extra wish, like some extra sides. Further the stuff was very friendly and natural, it gives you just such a cozy feeling. The ambience complements these feelings as well, even though it is modern it remains warm and nice. I can truly recommend the Austrian kitchen. The pictures shows the "Kalbshaxe with gratin" (very good!)
