Food was bad and definitely side dishes were taken from all inclusive part of restaurant. For every dish U get old potatoes - crocquets instead of salad from the menu, fried potatoes to turf & surf. Imagine steak and shrimps (quite good) with a side of fried old potatoes.hello thank you for your time to send us a feedback. We are sorry that the meal was not your taste. We can assure you that the potatoes are allways fresh and we serve the Surf and Turf with roastet potatoes and not with fried potatoes. it is your decision if you want salad or croquetes. Thank YouHotel Schiestl mit Team

It's an excellent place to have a coffee break or lunch during the ski season. It is situated near the outskirts of a piste, and you have to know the route, but it is worth the visit.

Stopped off for a snack. Waiter spoke very little English but no problem with menu. The berry strudel was huge and to die for. My wife's ice cream sundae was enormous and packed with fresh strawberries. All was served with a smile and a dance. What more could you ask for.

At Hofer´s Wirtshäusl, directly located at the camping side, Tyrolean specialties, international treats and homemade pizza can be found on the menu. The kitchen team emphasizes the use of the finest and freshest ingredients, seasonal fruits and vegetables
Since my last review, a few things have changed. The previous manager has left and the resteraunt is now managed again by the Hofers, and they have a new chef. They have an uncanny ability to employ the most amazing chefs and staff, as the food is outstanding as always, and the bar staff are never still (either serving drinks and food, washing glasses or cleaning the bar area), and are a credit to the resteraunt. We tend to eat here most nights when we visit, whether that be an delicious full meal on NYE, the most succulent ribs with friends, or a fantastic thin crust pizza if it's just myself the wife.I have to recommend the chestnut soup which, at the risk or sounding cliche, is to die for. It has always been delicious and I have tasted nothing like it outside of Hofers, but dare I say it, the new chef has improved on it.They never cease to amaze me with their amazing food or hospitality. Long may it continue :-)

We spent there 5 nights with halbpension. It was splendid! Every evening, we were allowed to choose something in the "à la carte" style and everything we´ve had was cooked and served that even in 5* hotel (or Michelin star restaurant) would not be ashamed of. Highly recommended to go there and to have a fancy dinner there. Definitely are coming back next year!

Lifestyle ski hut on the mountain
The only issue of this restaurant is that there is a lack of restaurants in Kaltenbach skiing resort, so this one is just flooded by skiers looking for some place to eat. Unless you come 11:30 latest, you would be stopped by the staff just next to the toilets and waiting in a long line to get in, after they let you in you find out that there are no free tables anyway and you would be running around the restaurants with many other people, trying to get a place to eat. And once you get the place, there will be less lucky people passing by your table all the time, looking for their moment of fortune and finding the place to eat.Otherwise service guys are really trying to cope with overloaded restaurant, despite blocked corridors always in a good mood. Food is really good and you pay just a little bit extra for that compared to standard restaurant on the ski slopes. To summarize - this establishment gets 3 stars only because it does not have a working system how to regulate number of people inside. Place itself, service and food is very nice.

Steak was nice - but Wiener Schnitzel was pork based only. Roastbeef was ok. Salad would need improvement - canned carrots are so last century for salads...Staff was not rude but also not particularly friendly. Plus: reasonably Austrian style interior. Ok- ish restaurant but that little extra was missing. We were there on the 25th based on a recommendation we were hoping for a more festive athmosphere.

Experience pure enjoyment and authentic Tyrolean cosiness in our wood-panelled a-la-carte restaurant âTiattaâ and its Cafe & Bistro âKimmâ with two wonderful sun terraces. Tasteful traditional dishes, light Mediterranean creations, oven-fresh pizzas, fres
Found this restaurant on a recent ski trip whilst staying in Stumm. Very accommodating as there were 26 of us and lovely friendly service. Take away pizzas were fab, the sit in meals even better. Having booked ahead of time (recommend) based solely on TA reviews, I felt reasonably confident that this would be good. First off the building and setting has a genuine traditional appearance, and a stunning vista. Good start.Staff were very friendly, and welcoming offering up genuine good natured banter (it's a word get over it).The food was very good, in terms of taste it was spot on. Everything was tasting like a better version of the food you are used to in your life of consuming mass produced produce. Not only this but all the dishes were prepared very well. I would happily give this place 5/6 based on food alone. With all the other bits it's easily 6/6.Worth the little trip up the winding mountain road.Dear TravelHero85!Thank you very much. All the bestFamily Geisler

The historic village inn in Stumm, home town of skiing legend Stephan Eberharter, is itself an enticing invitation that everyone hastens to accept: to savor awhile, to linger awhile.
We visited this place several times in the past during our ski trip to the Zillertal Arena region.Sophisticated kitchen with local produce; best local Austrian wines, contemporary presentation, chic decoration, delicious and creative food.If you are in Stumm area, this is a must visit Restaurant (we did not stay in the hotel).
