The restaurant "Alter Goldener Berg" of the family hotel Goldener Berg, offers you traditional Austrian delicacies. Enjoy the rustic restaurant and the variety of the Austrian cuisine. Treat yourself depending on the season delicacies. Along with the deli
This restaurant was my biggest dining disappointment in years. The serving staff's timing of the dinner and drinks was actually terrible. The dinner did not flow as it normally would in a good restaurant. My husband and I made a reservation and arrived promptly. The restaurant was less than half full and remained this way for the evening. We ordered glasses of champagne for an aperitif. We also ordered a bottle of local wine and our main courses. Before the champagne even arrived, the waiter brought over the bottle of wine we had ordered at dinner. I said, "we've ordered champagne as an aperitif," in an effort to subtly delay the wine tasting, to which the sommelier replied, "I know" while proceeding with the wine tasting. Just as we were starting to enjoy our champagne, our main courses arrived. It was probably no more than 10 minutes after we sat at the table and about 3 minutes after our champagne arrived. Since the food was hot, we started eating. The food was extremely average and looking back over our dining experiences during our 2-week stay in Lech, it was probably the worst food we ate the entire trip.We finished our meal before the table next to us (who arrived at about the same time) had finished their first round of drinks. I'm not against promptly serving food, but I didn't enjoy the main course three minutes after receiving my aperitif. I was hoping to enjoy the local wine with traditional food. It was also odd to be asked to taste the wine for the main course before the aperitif. I felt we had somehow broken a taboo and the staff was doing their utmost to hurry us off the premises. Although the restaurant is adorable and in a fantastic location, I would suggest travelers avoid this establishment. Based on our experience, the very best one could hope for is a fully-priced and absolutely-average meal.Hello from the Austrian mountains.Thank you for your message via Trip advisor. We are very sorry to read, that you did not enjoy your evening with us. We do think you had dinner in the Hotel, as in Alter Goldener Berg there is no Sommelier, who is only there for the wine. We are entirely not sure you ate with us, as we could not find when you would have been here. We always try to figure out what happened, if something has happened.Well, if you were her we are very sorry, you did not like the food. We do cook everything fresh and with ingredients from local farmers. Also, if you did not like the meal, if you would tell us, we can do something about it.Concerning the Aperitif and the wine we can say: Of course we ask for the wine in the beginning, so we can prepare it for you. And let you taste it so it is ready when your meal arrives.Well, of course something can always go wrong, things happen. If you tell us right away we can do something about it right away. We are very happy we can serve very many guests throughout the year, and they tell us very often, how much they like the food and the wine and the service. So maybe if you do come back to Lech you will give us another chance as we can do very well!Thank you and all the best dp & Team

As arlberg lunch spots go, this place was very reasonably priced with a very simple menu allowing high turnover and quick service. Had chilli con carne served with rye bread. Others had burger, pasta, sausage etc food arrived almost instantly because it was al stuff already being cooked.Great location off blue run down from lifts from lech. All dishes under 14e if memory serves.

We stopped here for lunch during a cold skiing day. We were warmly greeted by the staff and shown a table in the cosy and charming restaurant. The menu is truly Austrian and fairly priced. The dishes are served rapidly and the portions are gigantic. The quality is outstanding. Special mention for the garlic soup. I strongly recommend this restaurant for a good traditional meal.

A beautiful contemporary wooden restaurant in a great location. There is always something going on here including a DJ on top of a snow plough. The ingredients used in dishes are of superior quality to most places on the mountain. All staff are excellent.Great place to chill out in a deck chair.

Ate here a couple of times last week on both occasions they allowed dogs in the restuarant on the 1st occasion the dog was a few tables away but on the second occasion it was under the table next to us and had a coughing fit and I thought it was going to be sick, not very nice when you are eating really put me of my meal why allow dogs in a restuarant unbelievable!!Despite the dog problem the food was reasonably good not as good as previous years and the menu is a little limited.Won't bother going back next year when we visit Lech.

Had a great evening here! Small, old house with tons of ambience.Super crowded and still service was excellent. Good, honest food. Meat seems to be the thing in Austria, and the meat eaters were more than happy. Vegetarians have a harder time, but it can be done with modifications. Also nice to sit outside for a drink when weather permits.

A cosy mountain restaurant situated above Lech am Arlberg with its own alpine dairy. It serves traditional snacks and dishes made from local products in best quality. In winter it's situated right next to the slopes in the ski resort Ski Arlberg - slightl
The views are fabulous on a clear day. Just a short distance from the top of the kriegerhorne.Great outside tables to contemplate the view while supping an alcohol free beer (other beers are available) or a coffee/tea.Cheerful waitresses in Austrian costume.

Eaten here several times for lunch. Good pizzas with nice crispy bases plus a mix of Austrian standards and salads. Great place to watch skiing events on their huge screen and have a decent beer on apres ski

This is the last mountain restaurant before skiing into Lech.We used it every night to start our apres ski. Very nice building inside and on the terrace. Waiters are super friendly. Raw materials of food and drink high quality. Unfortunately the gastronomie nights on Tuesday and Thursday were fully booked.

SONNEGG - TYROLean stile restaurant with a nice terrace! Typical TYROLean and austrian food! From 03:00 PM apres-ski!!
Called in for lunch on the Saturday of our departure when it was relatively quiet - apart from the music - but disappoointed by both the service and the food (nothing wrong, just very ordinary). [This must be one of my shortest and least informative reviews but I just wanted to offset the otherwise high scores of others which led me to come here...]Hello from Sonnegg! Thanks for writing in to TripAdvisor - please can you tell me what you have eaten and what was wrong with the Food.Of Course I am sorry that you had not so good Service. Of Course from 15:00 on we have a Little bit apres-ski Music and not the atmosphere from a quiet Restaurant. Rgds. Robert (owner)
