Welcome to Jägerhof â The first Bavarian beer house in Plovdiv! In Jägerhof, you can feel the spirit of Bavaria from every corner â exactly how we felt it from our many visits there. We will serve you several kinds of freshly brewed beer. We work with one
First of all the facility is very nice. Huge, looks brand new, very attractive. Staff seemed friendly but distant and inattentive. Good beers! (One would hope, right?) Asparagus and cheese soup were both good. As was the tomato/cheese/pesto salad. We also ordered the potatoes & broccoli in blue cheese sauce and the Jagerhof Wurst platter (6 different sausages). Both were served lukewarm, which was disappointing. We could see that dishes would sit on the counter coming out of the kitchen for a while before waitstaff came and picked them up. Room for improvement here!

The menu is quite rich, both with international dishes but also ones closer to Bulgarian cuisine. We took roasted peppers with cheese, eggplant with baked bread, beef biftek and pork meatballs. The food was quite good, perhaps the beef biftek too salty. The portions are mid sized, prices mid to slightly high category. The place is located near a market, somehow at the ground garden of an apartment block, but once inside it's neatly decorated. The service is good.

We went on a hot evening as the sun was setting. All the tables had reserved on them but this appeared to be to stop people sitting just anywhere as we were shown to one of these tables and the sign removed. Drinks were very similar to those in other restaurants we went to. The service was good and efficient and although we both ordered the same main course it was consistent a good portion for a reasonable price. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was that I felt it lacked an overall "wow factor".

Fine dinining restaurant
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal here recently. Staff were friendly and attentive - we ate their speciality beef hamburger, with salad and accompanying chips. Our half bottle of local red wine was delicious. A great way to celebrate our last night of our tour of Plovdiv and Sofia.

One of the oldest restaurants in Plovdiv, dedicated to fresh, tasty, bio, food; most of the vegetables coming from our own garden; two times awarded ârestaurant of the yearâ by Bacchus magazine.
Our dinner at the Hebros was excellent. A beautifully prepared flavoursome meal. Our waiter helped us negotiate the wine list and find a Bulgarian red with a little bit of bottle age that was excellent. The service was friendly and efficient.Overall, we felt that we had received excellent price value for our meal.

We got a recommendation to eat here from the Chef at Daro (breakfast place in Sofia) and very thankful for this. Our hotel in Plovdiv is coincidentally located 100 meter away and directly made a reservation for dinner. The place is very crowded during lunch and dinner so please make a reservation beforehand. The katak (salad and homemade bread) was delicious. I had fried trout and salad and my husband had veal cheek with Risotto. All was delicious! The only improvement point is they did not have any high chair for my son (2 yo).

Smokini is the reinvention of one of the classical restaurants in Plovdiv - Chuchura. Our understanding that improvement is a process, motivates us to find new challenges, to experiment and to develop the tastes we offer our guests. The cuisine we have pr
The food here is delicious, full of flavour, so many elements on the one plate, but they all compliment each other. The first night my duck magret was beautifully cooked with the fat rendered down and the accompanying sides of couscous and carrot puree (who thought carrot could taste this good!) excellent. So good.....had to return the next evening to get some more takeout.....while we waited the receptionist/manager brought us a lovely Bulgarian wine to try.....very nice touch! My pork was again perfectly cooked and the peach, carrot puree with rich mushroom sauce delicious. Just salivating as I key this in....wish we lived nearby :) Value for money too....highly recommend!

AYLYAKRIA â The Temple of Aylyak. Aylyak is a typical Plovdiv word which describes the state of peacefulness, delight, nirvana. This is the philosophy that we preach in our Gastro bar - in Aylyakria we love to enjoy, to amuse and please ourselves. The aro
I just finish my lunch and would like to share my experience. I have eaten in all of the top restaurants in Plovdiv and for the most part I liked most of them except Tam's house. Aylyakria is on a different level. From the carefully restored old building to all the interior decorations everything sims to fit perfectly. The menu is very interesting with dishes that is made with high quality fresh ingredients. My wife ordered zucchini pancakes (katmi) with yogurt dill sauce - totally delicious. I ordered pork ribs and they were the best I have eaten in Plovdiv. The service was fast and professional and none imposing. We are coming back. You are a 5/5 client, that's for sure! Thanks for the review! :))))))
