Ich have been here auf few years before and they have kept und their Level in anderen touristic environment where the temptation is big to lower your colours to what everybody else is doing there. They offer meals (you choose the number of courses) and the composition is vergessen sophisticated, down to the desserts. Fish, very good choices of meat going with veggies in a very modern and nice way. The advice on the Wine was very helpful, as my choice on the house wine was not to my taste. The aussie replacement was first category.

Located centrally in the historical Pieterskwartier in Leiden restaurant In den Bierbengel feels like home. After a walk through the narrow and lively streets you step into our historical building back in time. The bar, the monumental mantlepiece, painted

The restaurant is close to the pedestrian shopping area of Katwijk. It is beautifully decorated and looks very cosy from the outside. Weâve been there on a Friday night around 7pm and would definitely recommend to book a table in advance, every table was occupied. We started off with some very nice, fresh bread with an olive tapenade and herb butter. After that we had 2 appetizers (tuna sashimi and prawns cocktail) and two mains (the grilled tuna and the salmon au gratin), along we ordered two craft beers from their quite extensive beer menu. The tuna in both dishes was of very good quality, the sauces accompanied it well. The prawns were fresh, but tastewise the dish offered nothing special, same with the salmon, which was quite heavily topped with a sauce hollandaise. Unfortunately the greens in the dish disappeared somewhat in the sauce. The waiter was quite taken with the two female guests on the next table, so our service came a bit short, but he was attentive enough not to complain anyway. The whole meal came to 90 EUR, which we found was slightly expensive for what we got.

We went here for diner, based on the interesting menu on display when walking by, and the inviting interior. It turned out to be an excellent choice.I have lived for many years in the NL; and my experience is that it is not trivial to find value for money. Many restaurants are over-prized. The Bree33 is different, as they offer a 4 course menu for â¬33. The portions are not huge, but in some you walk away completely satisfied. The kitchen is inventive, there are no standard dishes on the menu and the service is spot on (and quick). One of the best meals I had in the Netherlands.

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere - warm, inviting, convivial - one of those places that feels like walking into a perfect dinner party. We opted for the longest tasting menu, with a glass of wine to go with each expertly chosen by the staff, and ate and drank ourselves to very happy bursting point. My gluten free needs were met without fuss and without me feeling liked I missed anything, as it was so carefully managed. Every dish was pretty, colourful and delicious. Altogether lovely.

Everything is nice about this place with one major exception. It is located in one of the most beautiful spots in Leiden. The service is good. The food looks beautiful. But everything I had was remarkably, even weirdly bland. Like it was prepared for people who can't tolerate any salt or spices. But I only had 3 dishes (including a free little pre-appetizer which was a nice touch), so may be I just had bad luck.

High class service, topfood served in a fine, relaxed atmosphere. Established in 1997, more than twenty years Leiden's finest!
A great restaurant offering high end food at reasonable prices. We did the â¬80 a head mid week meal not realising that this also included a flight of wines to pair with every course. Water and coffee was complimentary which really gave an overall feeling of exemplary service. Food fantastic and service great and price reasonable. What more can you ask for!Definitely will be going back
