I love this place and I love the way Andreas Lehmann cooks. He is the amzing king of the kitchen that gets it right. Over and over again.HI restaurant is a very unusal place in an old cottage, located right on the border of Moenchengladbach, with the fields in sight. The "Beergarden" is a XL+ amazing collection of views and stuff, his staff is of high attention and the cooking is just glorious. Try everything from the card. The wines are all very well selected and all of this at a very moderate price. You will not be disappointed!

Really good food and very nice ambiente make this place a must try in MG. The style is basically turkish with other southern european influences and a broad selection of different meat dishes, fish, pasta and vegetarian plus a huge weekly menu. I tried fried feta, which was delicious, and chicken breast (complete with a sidedish of rice and vegetables) with spinach sauce, also very good (not outstanding though). The service was excellent. The prices are slightly higher than the average in Mönchengladbach: one main course with a drink can go up to 25-30 Eur.What really Ãmpressed me is the place itself, which is decorated paying a lot of attention to details, making it elegant. The location is not precisely in the city center, but still it's not hard to find. Do not forget to reserve a table, it gets quickly full.

I came here following a friend's recommendation. Honestly, from outside the place doesn't really look special, but the inside is rather nice! The restaurant is big and nicely decorated and the staff is welcoming. The food is actually very good, tasty and well presented and the prices are below average. I will come back again!

We stumbled on this restaurant/bar at the suggestion of local friends and were amazed at the ambience, friendly service, and incredible food coming out of the open-concept kitchen. Owner Werner and his staff seem to take a personal interest in every detail and the menu is outstanding. He also runs a retail shop in the front, in case you want to take some wine, spirits, or gourmet food with you when you leave. If I have get back to Monchengladbach, I will surely return!

I visit this restaurant every couple of weeks, living and working in the area. I have found that it suits both evenings with family and friends as well as "not-so-formal" dinners with business partners very well. The atmosphere is very nice with a lot of attention to detail. The staff is really always friendly, nice and attentive. You can sit inside but, when weather allows it, there is a beautiful sitting area outside as well. Best thing about Gero is the food in my eyes. Exceptionally high quality, creative cooking, ... All friends and business partners I took here so far mentioned how happy they were with the quality of the food! Being a regular of more than two years now, I am happy to experience that Gero still keeps improving so many details every now and then. An example would be the home-made ice cream that they keep improving....There are three-course-menus as well that offer a very nice price-value-ratio. All in all a strong recommendation!!

The St. Vith was recommended to us while staying at the Leonardo Hotel in Monchengladbach recently. Only a short walk through the church from the hotel which was ideal. We ordered the Schnitzels which were delicious. The service was somewhat slow for the hungry men on our table but still a wonderful meal and atmosphere.
