On the way from Nauders to Munich, we stopped for lunch in Lermoos. There were a few options, anyhow, we went for the Alpenrose attracted by the sign Wine Lounge; lucky us. Nice set-up with wine bottles as decoration and very attentive service. The food and the beer were good as well as the cocktails my wife and daughter had: Margarita, fine; but "Swimmingpool", this drink was amazing and totally new to us.

While staying in the Hotel Zugspitze we are here several times. The traditional breakfast was consistently good. Dinner menu somewhat limited although is was off-season. Staff very efficient and by German standards friendly. With so many great places to eat within 5-10 minutes walking distance we would not go out of our way to eat here. But the bar in the hotel is great, with live music and lots of locals in attendance on Thursday nights. Christine in the bar is great--friendly and helpful. We would go out of our way to have a drink here

We fancied some lunch and we had driven past this restaurant several times so we went for it, not our best decision. It is in a convenient position straight of the main road with plenty of parking, it also has a play garden for kids which I'm sure families can appreciate. The flies though were such an annoyance, the whole time we were seated in the outside area, they were consistently trying to land on the table or our food. The food wasn't mind blowing and if it were we wouldn't have noticed with battling the tons of flies. The staff were alright, they were busy and weren't overly friendly, after being in this part of Germany for a while, I find that the waitresses can be a little stern and moody, maybe they don't like the Brits or maybe they just don't like me, who knows.

This is our absolute favorite food experience in Mittenwald so far!! The food is delicious! The staff are so helpful and warm to us! The portions are huge! The prices are reasonable! They donât take credit cards and we learned that you need a reservation! We made another reservations three evenings from now!!

Nice Café with a breathtaking scenic view from the sunny and covered patio. Nice rooms indoors, great food, especially the large homemade pies and even bigger (ice-) cream puffs. The also have nice rooms and a stable for their horses. Good value!

Das Marktrestaurant has a Michelinstar for one year now. Owner Andreas and his wife Nancy no how to spoil their guests with great food and beautiful wines. The restaurant which is open for lunch and dinner is located in the lovely small village of Mittenwald, close to the border of Austria. That's why a lot of people, from example Seefeld, take a 15 min. drive to have a unique dinner. The price/quality is superb!!! Please open a second restaurant on our Markt in Amsterdam!!!!

Absolutely gorgeous interior, touch more formal than most. Bavarian with personality. Food excellent, waiter helpful. Might be our new favorite restaurant in the area. Well worth driving to from Garmish-Partenkirch (nearest big tourist town), through the gentle meadows surrounded by the Alps.

Food was a dissapointment for the price, tap water was 2,7 euros. Wiener schnitzel had more crust than meat.

"Beim Mimi" is the restaurant on the Tennsee caravan site in Krun. It is very popular with the local residents as well as with campsite users. The menu is varied but with an emphasis on German cuisine. Inside, the restaurant is spacious and the decor is authentic with carved wooden beams all around. Their main menu is available in a choice of languages, but their daily specials list is only available in German. Most of the staff speak some English and although I have only limited German we never had any problems.
