We went to Cafe Nika for breakfast and had really good Ukrainian pancakes and a huge cheese omelet.. The food was really good so we went back for dinner and had a good Caprese salad and hot sausages with horseradish and mustard Also a bottle of good French red wine. Can't understand the bad reviews.

Had dinner at Frant on 9 October 2018. The restaurant is conveniently located to the old square. The food was great. Try the pickles and pickled tomatoes. The Abkhozura was particularly nice. The staff was friendly and make it a very nice evening.

Nice surroundings, we ate outside, mainly because they had English menus. Two portions of stew, the meat was the consistency of rubber. I had stuffed pasta with sour cream, add on a portion of chips, a beer and a bottle of fanta. Service was good and friendly, price was around £9.

They charged me 2.5x what the sign outside said for a local draft. I have had a half liter of craft beer at a fancy restaurant in Ukraine for half! Beer was not on the menu only the sign out front, but still be wary. The food was reasonable. The borsht was very good with fresh warm bread. There is a view of the castle but for some reason they have grown vines all over the balcony so you cannot really see it! We had a nice lunch I just wonder why the switch with the beer pricing. 60uah is not a lot for many countries but seems extreme for Ukraine I have been here a few weeks and have never paid that much and wouldn't have ordered it if I had known.
