Very expensive and not good. That seems to be the verdict. Food stodgey and not well cooked. A bit of research would possibly have for the same money allowed you to eat better elsewhere. However do not bank on it. there are loads of places like this and that is just the problem. rip off because so expensive for the mediocre food given. The bottom line is that they can get away with it and that makes it OK What we need is a firat class place with good food at good prices and that would show the rest of themNobody enjoyed it. I had prawns and there were 2 on my plate for about 9 euros That alone is ridiculousWine extortionately expensive . Enormous mark up mind you this is the case in nearly all the restaurants we visited. Lucky if you pay less that 28 euros for a bottle worth at the most 4

The food is traditional saarland style. The Dibbelabbes is a must try although it is quite expensive considering the ingredients are just some basic stuff plus flour...Good spot for junk food if you love fried food...Ambience is nice and service is good. Overall perhaps better for a drink than a full on dinner. Better to go in summer where it is nicer to sit outside.

...serving local food and a pretty good beer. Despite service is very good, food was average to good, thus we likely would go next time and try another restaurant, since there are plenty available around same place.

Bringing my parents over to Germany to meet the Mr's parents found us at Locanda Grappolo d-oro & this visit was as amazing as our first visitEven though it was a holiday, they were open for lunchAmuse Busche consisted of Smoked Salmon, Gnocchi & Potato Salad for the meat-eaters. We veggies had a nicew piece of Canteloupe substituted for the salmonI have to point out that their Gnocchi has taken my #1 favorite gnocchi of all times & I would have happily made a meal out of those little pillowsJust a bit of texture, these gnocchi melted in the mouth yet still had a bit of chew. paired w/ truffles in butter sauce & just a hint of parmesan, this was absolute heaven!Appetisers for all consisted of their Cream of Alfalfa Sprout Soup - this was creamy & had a TON of flavor. Nicely spiced yet they allowed the sprouts to take center stage & really shine - I could have had 3 more of theseMain courses for the Mr's parents included the Beef w/ Peppercorns & just like last time, it did not disappointMy Mom had the fishDaddy chose the Beef in a Mustard Sauce & said the beef was extremely tender & flavorful & the sauce put it over the topThe Mr & I had their Asparagus Risotto - creamy, rich & paired w/ tender & perfectly al dente spears of Asparagus - this was another risotto heavenDesserts for the table included their assorted cookies & homemade wine-filled truffles - perfect end to a perfect meal!
Der Weg zum Restaurant ist ein ganz Schlechter für Menschen im Rollstuhl. Eine gepflasterte StraÃe täte Not.

Going to a 3* Michelin restaurant, expectations are high. This review relates our personal experiences this particular evening 21 July 2015, which fell dramatically short of our expectations. When we parked the car outside the nearby hotel where we were going to stay, temperature showed 34 degrees. We figured that a place like this would have air conditioning and dressed quite formally. However, this evening the dinner was served in the garden for all guests, no choice given. Itâs a beautiful garden, but much of the magic of the service setting is lost. Our amuse-bouches were served in gazing sun that was still on the table, despite the parasols. After a few hours, the temperature was quite pleasant but it was really too hot to enjoy fully during the first part. Throughout the dinner we had to fight against a wasp and a few flies, also interested in our food.We went for the full degustation menu at 195 euro. However, none of the 8 dishes were up to the standard of the promising amuses-bouches and there were no more extra dishes until the final sucreries, also quite impressive. The total amount of food was quite right in the end. Each dish was the piece of art you expect, but the tasting sensations were never beyond quite good. The meat in main course, duck breast, was a real disappointment even though it seemed cooked to perfection. I had high expectations for the first dessert, Rhabarbermüsli, but I actually didn't realize I had it until the second one came. I thought the white fluffy stuff with some berries â with just a hint of rhubarb and no crunchiness, and much too similar to the second one â was just a bonus. Red berries were a theme and many of the dishes had a quite pronounced vinegar taste. We took the wine menu, without knowing its price, and it actually turned out be less than expected at 105 euros, with good and interesting wines, but no wows here either. In total you drank enough, but I found it irritating that several times I was served less than my companion and we both less than at the neighbouring table. The relatively young personnel didnât do any real errors, but lacked in the soft speak and finesse that you expect from a restaurant of this kind. I guess the whole evening was a big challenge for them, having to run the extra steps into the garden, and it showed in the broken rhythm of our meal. Maybe we were just unlucky this evening, but what should be characteristic for a 3 star is a consistent quality. I agree with another reviewer: one star and half the price would be appropriate.

...we found it worthwhile to go there. Nicely located "in the woods" this place offers a charming atmosphere, nice food and a good service. This place can be used to organize special events, like marriages.
