Bas-Bas is situated in an old industry local so the atmosphere is very informal. BUT the food is there everything. I was there as an invited quest for 70 people and they succeeded in serving fresh pasta to everybody, that tasted heavenly. And the main course, the grilled lamb was just perfect. Cannot understand how they did it, although you see what happens in the kitchen.

A one of the best Italian food restaurant, nice, not too formal atmospere, they make everything by themself, starting focaccia and etc. Very good priced wine package which matched nice with the food. Highly recommend, table reservation is neededbecause so popular...

Like many places in Helsinki, Pompiers only serves a fixed price buffet at lunchtime. Pompiers was towards the higher price (19 euros as opposed to 10) but we were happy with this price given ths location, ambience and food quality.The soup of the day was carrot with feta (delicious); around six salads; dish of the day was arctic chard with noodles; tea or coffee.I personally found some of the dishes a bit salty but I found this in other Helsinki eateries so it may be the Finnish way.Service was efficient and friendly. If I was in Helsinki again I would try for dinner.
