Really cool place, really kind employee and tasty cider.Really happy to see that a restaurant propose vegan food ! Thatâs really original. So we took the tagliatelle and the vegetable croquette and both were really tasteful. We were really pleased Vielen Dank für die nette Bewertung ! Die Antwort kommt spät, aber dafür von Herzen :-)

The team are well trained, welcoming - but don't smother you, service is efficient. I would suggest that they take a little time to explain the menu, highlight some dishes. Good selections of bottled wines, but limited by the glass. Starters were sublime, my goats cheese, figs and beetroot was to die for 10/10 Mains all well presented and my MIL & FIL loved their ragout. My husbands fish was lovely. But here is where the kitchen was out of touch. They had an 80s flashback and cooked the meat medium-well? I didn't even think to ask to cook my dish MedRare - as a restaurant of this caliber shouldn't serve it any other way. My daughters was the same. Beautiful cut of meat destroyed by 4-5 mins too long in the pan. My dish was also missing a side?? So disappointing - everything else was outstanding. The kitchen need to either tell the servers to communicate that the meat is cooked medium-well and ask if you prefer it differently. Or the kitchen need to get the meat on track Medium-Rate! We will definitely be back.

Hidden, but nicely located a 5 minutes' drive south of the Danube, this traditional Austrian restaurant is a favourite among locals. The trout fish, which is the speciality of this place, is fresh and produced locally. Great wine list with wines of high quality instead of big names.
Schinakel seems to be popular place to visit in Grein, in an excellent location in the Riverbank. The place is fancy and the service is good. After a day s bicycle tour we had moderately priced late lunch - schnitzel and few beers. Sun was shining and the terrace was a really place to stay.
Recomendable

This restaurant has a wonderful old world inn feel and look.We had paprika soup, the asparagus soup, the schnitzel and a traditional boiled beef dinner with orange and yellow carrots with horseradish. We enjoyed all of it and it was a perfect topper to a long day of site seeing.
