I enjoyed the "castle room",one of several in the Castle which overlooks the Tegernsee and has a living room, powder room and impressive bedroom and bathroom plus astounding terraces furnished for sunbathing or eating to having late cocktails,or room service breakfast for that matter. The breakfast buffet downstairs in the castle was great. There is no air-conditioning,but with so many balconies and huge doors I simply opened three...and presto natural air-conditioning...it was august cold after the sun went down. There is a modern building higher upon the hill with all amenities including air.The garage is underground so nothing is spoiling the view over lake and mountains covered in woods.

Whether you opt for fine dining in the Dichterstub'n, or friendly waitress service in the Hubertusstuberl - in the Egerner Hofen in Rottach-Egern, Lake Tegernsee, everyone is welcomed with equally fine culinary delights. The Dichterstub'n is a hommage to
the food was fantastic from beginning to end. the 'landei' is a fabulous appetizer, the veal two ways as well, especially the braised calf cheek (to die for). wine selection very good, recommendations of waiter not as good as they could have been; i know a fair amount about wine, though am not a true expert, but i knew more than he did, which should not be the case at these prices. he also came by far too often and talked far too much.it's a lovely drive to the tegernsee, perhaps germany's most beautiful lake. the hotel is close to the lake, but there's no view, at least not from the dichterstube, which has no windows, but rather walls covered with low-quality portraits of lesser known german poets (thus 'poet's room').

We went here twice: once for afternoon coffee and cakes and once for dinner. We enjoyed both visits. The food was good and the prices reasonable. We were lucky with the weather, so sat outside - with lovely views of the lake. The service was both friendly and efficient. We would have gone back for dinner, but you can only get warm food until 20:00 (even in August) and we were not organised enough to arrive there before then.

we arrived at the restaurant during a snow storm, without having booked. it's a chic decor yet simple and the food was really good. The waitress helped us decipher the German menu and advised us for the local dessert, which was huge and very sataisfying.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Andrebar exploring Tegernsee in the glorious sunshine last weekend. I canât tell you how glad we were to get lunch here. We were seated on a really cute, beach feel, outside terrace and served by a really nice guy who was super helpful. We both went for burgers and country potatoes. The burgers were out of this world. My Mexico burger was the best burger Iâve ever had and I work and live in Central London, there are a lot of burgers available here. It was huge, when it arrived I wondered how I was going to eat it all but it tasted so good I couldnât not. The house jalapeño sauce is outrageously good. The wedges were delicious also.Beer and Hugoâs were good and reasonably priced for Tegernsee.I would recommend this place without a second breath!

We chose Zur Post by default. It was a Saturday and every other place we tried was full. The menu looked pretty standard for a Bavarian restaurant. The dining room was attractive, a cut above average. The tables were covered with freshly ironed white table cloths. Our initial impression was that this was an above average restaurant. The menu offered a wide range of selections. My wife ordered the Schweinshaxe and I the Schweineschnitzel. The waiter was rather abrupt and testy. This was surprising as we had already chosen our meals before he arrived. When the food arrived, the problems began. My pommes frites came without either ketchup or mayonnaise. I pointed this out to the waiter who returned with one packet of each. The pile of frites was quite substantial while the condiments were minimal for half the portion. Thus began the game of bringing condiments (which were apparently either in short supply or treasured). The food was rather disappointing, particularly the meats. My wife's Schweinshaxe was unsatisfactory. The meat was greasy and the crust anything but crispy. My Schweineschnitzel, despite their large size had a greasy mouth-feel and an unpleasant taste. At 12.90⬠each, neither was worth the price. We cannot recommend Zur Post because of the poor quality of our food and grumpy service service.

We had a lovely dinner with authentic (heavy) Bavarian food. We loved the original atmosphere (wooden interior) and the friendly service. Wide food and drink selection.

Mediterran eingerichtetes Restaurant bekannt für hausgemachte Pizza, exzellente Steaks, knackige und pfiffige Snacks. Wechselnde Tages- / Wochenangebote. SKY SPORTS BAR
Nothing special on the menu, nor anything on the menu is worth a second try. The place is indeed a sports bar fancied by soccer fans on the adjacent bar area. Diner seems to be a drag for the owners. Pizza way below average with only diferent different choices. Stay away from chicken wings. Steak is ok but nothing special. Would not go again. Also no English speaking service. Dear guests, we find it very surprising that you rate our restaurant below average. You have been asked minimum two times during and after your meal if everything was ok. According to our service staff, you had nothing to complain about. Our homemade pizza is well known and even better reputated. The same applies as well to our crispy, bread crumbed chicken wings as our steaks. We have a menue with about 30 different starters and main courses, which are all prepared upon order. If there is nothing, which caters your requirements/ expectations, we really can't help it. Moreover we find it very surprising, that you consider our service staff not to ne alle to speak English. I can restassure you, that all our staff is very capable to hold a conversation in English. According to the two staff, who served your group one member of your group spoke German. Obviously then our staff adresses you in German. Certainly it is your right to have your own opinion about your stay in our restaurant. We we would like to urge you for future visits in any other restaurants to be fair and openly tell the service staff, if something is not to your satisfaction. It is very easy to write something in the Internet rather than asking i.e. for the Manager in the restaurant. Mistakes may happen, but you should adress them openly, when you are being asked. Please so not hesitate to contact us in [email protected] should you wish to discuss this matter further.

Culinary excellence full of passion and perfection - that's what you can expect at Restaurant Ueberfahrt. You are invited to relax and fully indulge yourself when Christian Juergens, awarded with 3 Michelin stars and 19.5 Gault&Millau points, conjures up
With high expectancies we got our table in the restaurant of Christian Jürgens. The restaurant looks nice and very modern, the service is casual. The food is very nicely prepared and every dish is arranged like a modern piece of art. The taste is good but from my taste not overwhelming. The price is also at the higher end even for this restaurant category. Overall worth good but 1 time is enough.Dear kane2092,Thank you very much for your review. I would also like to thank you for your detailed feedback and thoughts on your stay, which I have read carefully. I hope to see you again at Tegernsee some time!Yours sincerelyChristian Jürgens
