We met Doris and Alex here for lunch before setting out for Konigswinter. The dining room was cozy and very old German. Our lunches were very good, I had salmon, sliced thinly and uncooked. It was accompanied by roasted potatoes and dill spinach. Even for someone who is not a salmon fan, I enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the view of the Rhein River and the grounds added to the experience.

This place has been here forever! Serving great drinks and being an important part of the town centre hosting various events throughout the year for years. It’s a very German place in here so try your best to at least order a beer in German but they are welcoming none the less.Never ate here before hence why I can only give it 3 stars but food is available.
Please note that i think in 2011 the name of this place changed to Hotel Am Markt 1. still good, see reviews under that new name!

Lucky for me I dined her with a local! Being with a German native, sure helps with menu selections---especially seeing 99% of the places I dined at did not have an English menu available. We shared a sampler plate of grilled meats along with the in season mushrooms, an extra salad and sauce Bernaise. Everything was well-prepared fresh and tasty. Just like eating upscale home-cooking! :-)

Weinhaus Steinbach is a hidden gem. It is located in a very old, 17th century house, with a beer garden in the courtyard. The interior is old and very original. The food is excellent and the way they serve the wine ... brilliant. You've got to try it. When trying to drink the wine you need to first bow to the wine - you'll see. Try their Bratkartoffel (fried potatoes), Tafelspitz and excellent Spanferkelhaxe (baby pig trotters) - very German and very good.

We visit this restaurant from time to time, we like in particular the setting. In winter in the Orangery with the big curved glazing is cozy and charming. In summer eating outside with the splendid english garden is an elegant and festive setup. These advantages are used also by groups celebrating like weddings, first communion, etc therefore it has happened relatively often to is that the place was reserved for private events so we had to look for other place to eat, so be sure to call before you go there. We enjoyed always the food even if a couple of times it was not at the same level. The menus are changing, creative and not only South EuropeanFor instance we repeated last time one of the "classical" Wiener Schnitzel, schnitzel with veal and not with pork like in most restaurants of the area. Not so easy to get it right, crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. We enjoyed it! The choice of wines of this house is of course excellent being a wine merchant also.

I have picked Reduttchen restaurant based on good reviews I read on TripAdvisor on a recent visit to Bonn. I have to concur with the good reviews. Service was excellent, with great attention to details and the needs of diners. The food was exceptionally presented and very tasteful. Between the 5 of us, we had tasted most of the menu. We were all highly satisfied. The selection of dished is rich and diverse; the presentation is enticing; the taste is amazing. It is also very reasonably priced. I highly recommend it! I would like to point out the Pina Colada dessert; it is a celebration of coconut ice cream on a crunchy bottom, submerged in a pineapple sauce. It was absolutely delicious.Dear tlvla, many thanks for the great compliments. It's nice to hear that TripAdvisor reviews have been confirmed. Because the good reviews are for us the reason to continue to work on us.Also, since you made such a good review, maybe helping other guests find their way to us, thank you.Since even many Bonner have not noticed what is hiding in Bad Godesberg. ;)And if you are from sunny California again in Bonn, we look forward to welcoming you in the Redüttchen. The Redüttchen team

I am a regular customer in this traditional German restaurant. I particularly like to come Tuesdays because they cook the typical potato pancakes from this region (Rievkoche). Very crisp, only served with apple puree, is a very simple dish but very tasty. If you do not know this Rhineland treat you should try it once and may be you get hooked up like the many people that come just for that. It is "All you can eat" and they serve it until 19h!

You wouldn't expect a great fish restaurant in Oberhausen but Chamai is really a great place to go! Fish is in focus but also other dishes such as very tasty meat or even vegan/vegaterian dishes are very good. If you want to have great fish dishes, Chamai is the place to go! Nice and cosy atmospehere round up the food quality...
