Friendly waitress (if a bit quirky), speaks basic English. We had to wait 45 minutes for our 3 pizzas, which were good, though slightly on the small side (but still absolutely sufficient for the average adult). The small outdoor seating area is on the small quiet street right next to the railways tracks and provides the true Rhine valley experience of freight trains thundering by every 5-10 minutes or so.

This lovely guesthouse was our overnight accommodation in Dörscheid while walking the Rheinsteig. Unfortunately it was raining on the day we were to walk this section of the path so we took the train and, on arriving in Dörscheid, realised we still had some distance to go before our destination. We rang Marcus to find out what travel arrangements we could make and he very kindly took time out from his work in the kitchen and came to collect us at the station. We were very grateful as it would have been a difficult walk in the rain.We had a beautiful room with a balcony and lovely views. Everything was clean, fresh and well maintained.Dinner was delicious, especially the fresh asparagus. Breakfast was also excellent. We were only able to spend one night here as we were hiking to our next destination, but we would certainly stay here again.

Having stayed here three times, it is clear we like the place! The quality and presentation of the food are outstanding! True for dinner and breakfast both! The setting, outside high above the Rhine on the scenic terrace of the restaurant( or,if inclement, also lovely in fine old atmospheric dining rooms full of character) only enhance the ding experience. Top quality service!

Best meal in Bacharach. We liked it so well we went back for our last meal in town before leaving. Casual relaxed atmosphere. Up the hill from town. Easy walk on left by church. Food was exceptional and large portions. We split a meal for two and still had leftovers. Nice bottle of reisling for 9â¬. Salads were exceptional. Meat dishes perfectly prepared. Spatzle was tender and flavorful. Waitress friendly and helpful. A meal to remember twice. Second time just as good. Both times we ate outside. There is seating both inside and out. Mostly locals when we were there each time. Our meal for two arrived in a large skillet. 2 small rib eyes, roasted chicken, pork, and bratwurst. Spatzle and sauted vegetables. All perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. A true find.

With its beautifully designed country-house decor, our restaurant has a delightfully relaxed and friendly atmosphere. In fact, the perfect setting in which to sit back for an hour or two and let us spoil you with the very best from our kitchen and wine ce
We stopped over for coffee and cake, sitting outside. Chose apple strudel, with ice cream and whipped cream. Yummy. Sufficient selection of coffees, with latte and double espresso. Well energized for continuing our trip.Nice touch: the couple in the next table had a dog, and the waiter brought him water without asking. Boy was he thirsty, licking away the entire cupful just like that. Even the dog owners were amused and surprised.

The restaurant is in the middle of this very picturesque city. The interior is beautifully kept and very grand. From the tables on the outside you have a perfect view of what is going on in town. When it comes to food it was classic German, quite heavy food. All dishes very well prepared and with good taste. Nice wines by the glass or bottle with very reasonable prices.

I had a lovely visit to Rusticana after a morning spent visiting Bacharach. The restaurant is homey and cute. For 14.50 euro, I had a generous meal! Meatloaf with mushrooms, salad, delicious vegetable soup and a big pour of riesling! The owners even gave me a pretty postcard as a souvenir. Thank you so much and hope you visit Australia again :)

We were a party of three. I ordered the vegetarian menu. I thought itâs a good restaurant, they would know how to cook anything. Unfortunately, the vegetables had no remaining texture. All cooked way beyond done, you could say mushy. All three courses were disappointing. My husband ate another menu. The food was both adequate and ok, but very much overpriced. My brother was the only person who was pleased with his main course at least, the trout. Also, where we sat on the terrace the floor was sticky where someone had spilt a large amount of wine. All in all, unfortunately one big disappointment. The waitress was nice until I told her about the vegetables. No apology, no gesture to try and fix it. There are so many other places in Bacharach that are not as expensive and offer wonderful food.
