Find out what Central European restaurants to try in Azuga. Azuga is a small resort town nestled in the mountains of Prahova county in the historical region of Muntenia, in Romania. Azuga is located at the foot of the Baiu mountains, and contains the longest ski run in Romania, the Sorica - together with other ski slopes. Formerly heavy industrialized, Azuga retains now a bottled water factory - a leftover from the famous beer factory that brewed Azuga Beer (now produced elsewhere in Romania under license), a sparkling wine factory, wine tasting and lodging (Cramele Rhein, owned by Halewood International). The beer factory, the glassware factory and the wool cloth factory were privatized and now are closed and completely demolished. The refractory materials factory, also privatized, is still standing but it is closed. The town offers a dramatic view over the Bucegi mountains, even from street level and especially from the top of the Sorica mountain (at the gondola arrival station).

Stopped here on the off chance as terrace looked good. We were lucky to have a table straight away.Service was good from the start and extreamly helpful. The pork schnitzel was excellent even though I had it with fries. Oh did have a seasonal salad The wine choice is extensive and good. Us sold wine by the glass which was perfect for me.Followed by apple pie and ice cream. Will recommend and return to this place. Food service. Good Food and well priced

Tasty smoked bean soup. I chose to eat the cabbage with the pork steak and polenta... the cabbage was acceptable, the steak didnât have any taste and the polenta was very strange (it seemed to be reheated in boiled water and brought separately on a plate too big). If I wasn't really hungry I would probably be more critical.

I have eaten here twice and on both occasions the food was a real treat. The deep fried chicken with polenta and garlic sauce really worth a try. There is a very nice terrace and the service (a lady waitress) was more than pleasant.

We went to Sinaia in August 2019 and stayed at the "little Economat - At Tunuri", or more precisely at the former Guard Corps, because the real Economat has been closed for years (-). Also the villa Sipot (-), or the villa of the Knights (-) are closed, not to mention the hotel and restaurant Furnica (-)!At the restaurant below us, also called Economat, the food was not of the best quality (-). For example, the mash was made from potato flakes, with no milk or butter, fried potatoes were frozen. And it was expensive (-)In contrast, vis-a-vis, at Carol Gastro Bierhus the food is better (+) (clearly wrote fresh potatoes) and is even cheaper (+). Good service, fast (+), polite waiters (+) and pleasant view (+).They open at 10 in the morning and have brunch until 12 (+), after which you can eat whatever you want (including soups and borsch) all day (+). In the evening, the meal ends at 10 pm.Carol restaurant is across the road from the fountain with bear at the top (which has not been running for a long time (-), on the right side of the former Economat restaurant, open on foot (at least +).

The restaurant is inside the hotel, and is usually open for lunch and dinner. The food is good and more sophisticated than the usual in the area. Prices are also much higher than the average.

The location is really good. The atmosphere is really nice downstairs, i.e. the lights, decorations and music, however it is a bit spoiled by how stressed and rushed staff seems. Our waitress was efficient in getting our requirements done, but she had a rather negative attitude towards requests. The soups in bread were nice, but there is room for improvement.

Dear guests, We thank you all for your moral support and for all the sustaining messages that were continuously coming after the unpleasant event that happened last Sunday. By a miracle followed by a huge work of Ioana family, Forest Restaurant, Forest Ga
Today i just stoped by Sinaia and looking for a place to take my lunch. Looked for a restaurant on tripadvisor and picked âforest restaurantâ. Lavinia was the waiter taking care of my table. Her suggestions were excellent: chefâs soup and mango pancakes. Donât miss the pancakes

Restaurant din lemn de stejar si piatra de rau din complexul Piatra Soimului. Meniu incredibil de rafinat si variat pentru o zona turistica de munte si servicii etichetate ecologic. Liniste si priveliste de poveste.
It'a a revisit but a tasty one. The place really looks fantastic and the food, wow the food. I had the polenta with cheess and bacon and Plescoi saussages, all oven baked. It was a delicious dish. My girlfriend had the polenta with Burduf cheese and i had a taste and also fantastic. We came with a friend that had a burger and the way it was presnted was so nice and she said it also tasted very good. A big bravo!Dear Andrei,Wow, thank you for your awesome review! We're so happy to hear you and your dear ones had a great experience in KUIB Restaurant! It seems that you and your girlfriend went for the all-romanian experience, while your friend chose one of our star-dishes, a new-comer in our menu. That's what makes KUIB so great, the posibility to choose between various dishes from multiple cuisines. We hope we'll see you guys again really soon, perhaps with a new, improved menu by then!Kind regards,KUIB&PiatraÈoimului Team

I liked the name of the restaurant in the first place, as it reminded me of Sadoveanu's novel Hanu Ancutei. I went there after a visit at Caraiman Monastery, around 7 pm on Saturday evening. There were many people on the terrace because the weather was pretty warm for the time of the year, 23rd May. The ladies that served on the terrace really seemed like in Hanu Ancutei, being middle-aged, friendly and smiley. We were eager to eat something sweet and traditional, therefore we chose two portions of papanasi with blackberry jam. The papanasi arrived fast and looked appetising, not to mention the flavour they had. Pure delight! There were two pieces of Romanian doughnuts on one portion, which was more than enough. I saw other desserts on the menu, such as apple pie with vanilla sauce, ice cream etc., as well as many traditional inn-like dishes: polenta with cheese and sour cream, fish, stew.

The most beautiful restaurant in Bucegi mountains. The best French Food in Prahova Valley. A gorgeous wine list in the area.
Went with my wife for a coffee and we discovered a small heaven. The Administrators did an extraordinary job by arranging the garden with statues. Fishes in the pounds are magnificent. Fantastic view, if you have nice weather. We had a sunny day and clear blue sky. Nice personnel. Quite busy on Sunday.
