Drive up the mountain from Altaussee to find this traditional hut/ restaurant/ hotel. We went after seeing the traditional music evening advertised (Tuesday night), a guitarist and excellent accordionist playing traditional Austrian music. You should book....we asked our hotel to phone for us.The goulash was excellenta.aThe wins list only shows wines of 1/8 litre.......ask for house wine and you'll get a very full glass.Lots of Austrians there says a lot about the quality.

Loserhutte is located in an amazing small ski resort in Aultaussee. The restaurant perches on the edge of the mountain with amazing views. The food is good too with efficient Teutonic service!

Enjoy our unmatched location with the unique view on the mountains surrounding lake Altaussee. We comfort you with fresh products from the region, cooked and served with authenticity and passion. In general, one spends far too little time on the lake shor
We visited the Strandcafe with friends and family as the end of a 3hour hike, and everybody from the bunch has found something to choose from and all have been delighted. The service was very quick, staff friendly, there was no problem to accomodate toddlers, wheelchairs nor dogs, despite the place being quite full.
I love this place and enjoy going at least once a year when visiting family. We are always welcomes with open arms, even though we live so far away. There are many different dining rooms and an outside garden when the temperatures are good. A gift from the kitchen awaits you at your table - this time a delicious cheese spread with sweet onion and herbs. The menu is ever changing as are the seasons - this time the Grammel Knödel, deer Rouladen and roasted goose - fabulous. And you can't miss the strudel or the crepes with jam! Ausgezeichnet!
