After eating here on our first night in Berlin all other restaurants had to live up to our experience here. They may have matched it, but they didnât beat it. Great welcome, even though we had to wait for a table on a Wednesday night. Good beer and fine wine with friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. A varied menu, but after much deliberation it just had to be the Schnitzel for two of us and the vegetarian choice for my son. We were not disappointed. A lovely evening out. Highly recommend a visit here.

My local friend introduced me here. It is a 5-8 mins walk from Frankfurter Allee (S/U Bahn) station and stands in a quiet part of Friedrichshain. Food is nice, well cooked and presented. But it is way too pricey! Most of main course is over 20 Euros. I do not pay for pasta dish for over 20, at least not in Berlin, where so many good foods are served. I like the mix of casual food, and food itself is fine, but again not worth for 20-25 Euros per dish even in Friedrichshain! Staff are friendly but even it was not so busy, we needed to ask them to come for additional orders or drink (basically no service). We felt overall experience too expensive. Schade!

Dear visitors and guests, In the restaurant Speisehaus we serve German cuisine. By that we mean first and foremost the everyday culinary art with which we grew up in and around Berlin. With all the variety of international gastronomy that has made us happ
The food was good, but the portions are way out of line. Awfully much. The service was rude. It was the daughter of the owner and she owned her privileges. No greeting upon us entering, she would rather go on with her call. After some 5min, and upon ending her pointless call about some intrigue in her group of friends or some ish, she finally gave us a menu. There was a dog walking around the whole time. We were then weirdly asked, if we would like to take home some extrafood, even though we didnât even finish our huge plates. In the end she claimed the tip for herself. The sum was about 55â¬, probably also inheriting that tea I never got, and she just went â60⬠is alright then?â. Never again.Hi. This person is no longer in our Restaurant! And she was NOT any famliy member of the owner!!!Sorry for this unfortunate experience! We hope to see you again!

Bavarian Tapas and own crafted beer
Cozy place with a bar and a few tables. The staff welcomed me to take the last seat at the bar, and thankful today they did as everything was outstanding. The Bavarian tapas were delicious, particularly the spinach dumplings, and the beer and wine were outstanding. Highly recommend and if you're more than 1 or 2, you must book as it is very busy. Wonderful experience.

It's conveniently located nearby the train station. It was a bit difficult to locate at first as there was a construction work in front of it. My husband and I enjoyed our breakfast in this cozy place. The waiters were also very friendly. Must try!

Arrived at the restaurant half hour early before open but definitely deserve the wait. Awesome German food, I was very surprised the quality of the food was excellent, I ordered the roast cured knuckle with pan fried potato and an German beer the portion of the food was big and very hard to finish but it was so delicious, I only managed to finish 2/3 of the meal, service was good very friendly waitress and waiter with traditional dress. Highly recommended.
