This is still the best place to have breakfast if you want something different from a sandwich. They have Nicaraguan breakfasts, American breakfasts and a variety of other tasty food. It is a bit expensive for SJDS but it's definitely worth it.
We are a place where the community comes together to eat delicious food, have a great time with friends and where you can find healthy and unique food at our market. Your favorite place for Pop-up dinners, pizza night, Sunday brunch & the best coffee in t
I went here for Brunch. I loved the open seating arrangement and beautiful rustic decor. They had great spicy bloody Maryâs. They had an amazing brunch menu and had housemade sour dough bread that was delicious! This place does little pop up restaurants so the menu changes quite often. I Love the concept that they have! They even have a little shop that you can buy anything from cheeses to local kombucha!!! I will definitely come back and highly recommend you check it out!

Da surf spot is a cute little outdoor eating taco stand right on Santana beach within spitting distance from the Rancho Santana clubhouse. Simple tacos, smoothies, chips. Cheap breakfasts and a fun owner who aims to please. A great place to have a cold one after surfing or an Alt lunch or breakfast stop
Gourmet food in the tropics is not always easy to find. The menu is varied and inviting. There are two tasting menus. Although not every course on the menu I had was a home run, overall the quality, presentation, and service was outstanding. The meal isn't inexpensive, though. If you can afford it, highly recommended.

Delicious local food, reggae music, great location close to the beach, best prices
Some friends of our fished with the owners of this place and they cooked us up a spectacular meal with the fish they caught for a very reasonable price. They were great guys, friendly and very attentive. Would definitely go back!

Located on the shore of the Great Lake Nicaragua a few meters from the entrance of the port to Ometepe Island. From the tables on the terrace, in a cozy and informal atmosphere you can taste our specialities in SALMON and other local seafood and lakefood
We had one night in San Jorge, and we're encouraged to visit El Navegante with a free drink offer from our hotel. Best free drink we have enjoyed.Food, welcome, atmosphere, service all great. superb veranda views of Ometepe.Museum of bank notes on the walls requires inspection, very interesting. We used this excellent restaurant both before and after Ometepe where we knew we could get a decent meal. Good English spoken,OMETEPE FERRY - our experience wasn't good with ferries being full, ferries cancelled and overcrowding. Get there early, get your ticket, get on the ferry and hold your seat.Be prepared for a rough crossing.El Navegante was like coming home after a battle with circumstances beyond our control.Thank you for visiting and writing well of us. We are glad you have found a nice haven after your "Lake battle"!!!! Good information for every adventurer forwarded to here...

We visited Nicaragua in August and went to Casa Maderas on several occasions. The food was great. The location is lovely and at night time with the lights on it was very welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant in particular the chicken salad which is really nice and we ended up ordering this as a starter to share almost at every visit. Many thanks for this honest review! :)

Cooking with love right at the beach!
We came here for a late night drink and then again for lunch, and both times we were pleasantly surprised. At the late night, we were served beers and smoothies quickly. For the lunch, the food takes a while (20 minutes probably) but it is very fresh and tasty. Plus, itâs right on the beach and the view is incredible. Also, the bathrooms are clean!!

Embrace the simplicity of food in a pleasant panoramic and home-style setting. Every healthy detail in the kitchen has been taken care of. Using the freshest ingredients, from Grade A Nicaraguan Beef (exported internationally), seafood caught 5 miles away
The view here is beyond spectacular, looking out over all the surf breaks of popoyo, and south to mountains of costa rica! Burgers were good but not amazing, can't beat that view though!

Translated, our name is The Farm and the Sea. We showcase a locally sourced menu. Relax and soak in the ambiance of the archi-tec-ture of La Finca y el Mar which was inspired, in part, by sea-side farm-houses in AndalucÃa, Spain. Open-air ter-races frame
Wouldn't say it's extraordinary, but there was decent food selection for the kids and adults. Everything is locally sourced and I must admit the ingredients were not only selected with care, but prepared well too. Unlike my review for the Mansita in Costa Rica, they were actually able to mix local and international cuisine seamlessly. Our friends loved their Margaritas and my wife and I loved the Mango Sangria. The only negative for me was when our neighbor kicked me in the shin for asking a question. Probably deserved it, but really wasn't trying to be a wise guy this time. O.K. I deserved it. Edgar, our waiter, a good one too, went over the two specials, the Flounder and the "Special Salad." I asked what kind of salad that was? O.K. I asked, "What made this salad special?" O.K., O.K. I sort of said, "What makes your salad special?" That's when I got kicked. I take my reviews seriously and want to be constructive rather than critical, but I do have a tendency to go for low hanging fruit for humor sometimes. Apologies to Edgar and Leef.
