Had a good night out at Pana Rock as we enjoyed the live music and happy hour drinks. Ended up having breakfast here the day after (needed quick wifi) and that was rather disappointing. Took a long time and food itself was only so so. Conclusion; great for a night out but eat somewhere else.

The best view of the lake, volcanos and the all mountains. And now with new italian food menu. Delicious pizzas and wood horno. Made home fettuccine and raviolis.
My family & I had the opportunity to have lunch at El Gran Mirador Restaurant on Oct. 9, 2014. The view was unbelievable, the food was excellent & the service was great. 4 "STARS" until I received the bill. I paid with American Express Credomatic (they had a large sign saying they accepted American Express Credomatic). When I got back my receipt I noticed I was charged an 8% fee for paying with a credit card. I stated that in the past as well as during this vacation I had never been to any business in Guatemala that added this credit card fee. I then offered then to pay with USD but was immediately informed that their would be a 10% additional charge to accept USD. I left the bill as paid with American Express. To my surprise, when reviewing the bill later, I discovered that the original bill for 341 Quetzals actually added up to only 310 Quetzals. The amounts in question are insignificant - the problem is that it took away from a good experience and replaced it with one of displeasure..

Constructed in the colonial architectural style with parabolic arches and gardens, Blind Lemonâs reflects the tradition of Guatemala. And set in San Marcos La Laguna, a small Mayan village on Lake Atitlan, surrounded by towering volcanoes, Blind Lemonâs h
I showed up at Blind Lemon's for an early dinner to find a group of football (soccer) fans from UK and Canada relaxing on a comfortable sofa and chairs watching on a big screen TV the Manchester City vs ?? Eat/Drink/Game. Good time even though I know nothing about football. Blind Lemon's is comfortable and inviting. The menu is well rounded, something for everyone. I had an excellent chicken enchilada dish. I came back later to see if Carlos Funk would be there. Lucky me, he was.For the next couple evenings Carlos and I played the blues. You've got to check this place out!

We ate here for dinner and the food was delicious and service was great! They have live music some nights. We all enjoyed our steaks and they have a delicious chimichurri sauce. The prices are reasonable.

Visited here every night of my stay in Panajachel! Usually for a beer early evening when it was busy and full of locals - great chance to chat and practice your Spanish! Everyone is very friendly and the owner is fantastic. Also came later on my last night to try the pupusas and - wow! Instantly regretted that I hadn't been eating here every night! They are cooked fresh to order, totally delicious and lots of choice! I'm vegetarian so tried a spinach one and a carrot one - both totally delicious! There is a minimum order of 2, but they are only 10 GTQ each and 2 is already very filling and great value.Totally recommended!

This restaurant is not cheap compared to other option on the main street in Pana, however, the quality they offer is superb and overall it is a good value for money and an exquisite alternative to barbecue meat which you cannot eat every day I guess. Very good also for breakfast. Try it, you wonât be disappointed. Service is also very good and attentive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with the Pinguino family. The show was educational and entertaining and the food was tasty. There were fun, interactive opportunities to be a part of the evening. For a heartfelt insightful Guatemalan experience, I highly recommend dining here.

Part of the Isla Verde Hotel
If you're looking to unplug and get away from it all, as I was, this retreat center will float your boat. Treehouse style cabins, nestled into the hillside, daily yoga, meditation, delisious and nutritious food, stunning views across the lake, peace and tranquility, music nights, local cultural events. Simply perfect in every way. During my time here I literally ate, slept, played music, ate, slept, did yoga, ate, slept. Thankfully there isn't much else to do. I tried dropping in to the surrounding villages, most full of tourists and a bit grungy, but here there is just the pure magic of serenity and silence. I worked with a couple of local Shaman's with cacao and fire ceremony. That was the highlight of my trip and the staff here helped me determine the wheat from the chaf with recommendations. I'll definitely be back to hold a retreat here at some point in the future so I can share this bliss with others.

Nice restaurant with pool, jacuzzi and internacional food
Our group made reservations for a private dinner, and we were treated to a first-rate afternoon/evening by Sophia and her staff. We lounged at the pool/swim-up bar enjoying drinks and appetizers until it was time for our dinner reservation. We enjoyed an excellent meal with stunning views of the lake at sunset. Sophia was extremely attentive and personally saw to it that we were well taken care of.

A Graduate- run restaurant located in the CECAP vocational center building in the town of Santa Cruz la Laguna. It is part of a yearlong culinary arts program that trains local indigenous youth in food preparation and service. Open from 8am to 5pm Monday
The views from the rooftop cafe at CECAP are stunning, but the vista is just the beginning. The food is by far the best I've had in Central America! We got two different typical Guatemalan dishes; both had rich sauces and layered flavors, and the presentation was beautiful. For a backpacker who doesn't eat at fancy restaurants because they're out of my budget, this was a real treat - it's an excellent value. My favorite thing about this restaurant is that they reuse old jars and food containers for takeaway containers - I wish more places would do that. The businesses in Santa Cruz care a lot about reducing the amount of waste produced in the area, and this is a brilliant way to help do just that. You can take a tuk tuk up the hill for 5Q, but the walk is quite nice, especially after hiking volcanoes. Very highly recommended! Thanks for visiting us and supporting CECAP! We're so glad you had such a good visit. Come back again soon!
