An adventure in gastronomy awaits you at "Caliope", Casco Viejo's first Farm-to-Table dining experience. Panama's newest and most creative culinary experience delivers international fusion that sources fresh and delicious local ingredients. Chef, Martino
Very good all round... greeted at door... Barman and barmaid well trained and knew their stuff ... free amuse bouche delightful... lamb starter excellent ... short rib main course very good but a little expensive for what it is... friends dishes superb....waitress very good... was well versed although she would be superb if she improved her english... ....Italian chef came to our table, a good sign because he knows he puts out good food and not afraid to face the public.. ! I would give it 5 stars if... they improved on simple things like... stairwell up to restaurant needs to be cleaned up and decorated, it looks scruffy... more attention to bathrooms... not quite up to standard .. had to dry hands with toilet paper.. I would put it as best restaurant in Casco viejo because of food quality and service... I will definitely return.Dear dpmmmm,Thanks very much for your balanced and fair review. We travelled in rural Panama, and wanted the vibes to remain chill when visiting the city. Staff, food, and atmosphere were out of this world. We were able to stay relaxed and continue vacation in a fast city. We visited twice during out 5 day stay, and highly recommend to all those visiting. Modern cuisine, pub setting, board games, and attentive staff! 5 stars! â¤ï¸Thank you soo much for your great review, this type of review makes us work happier and harder. We looked forward to dining at La Posta again when we planned a return visit to Panama City. We loved the original location, so we were curious about how the new La Posta would compare. We arrived for an early dinner on Valentineâs day. The decor did capture the essence of the atmosphere of the original location. However, the tables were placed closer together than before but no one was seated at the tables next to us during our seating. By coincidence, we had the same waiter as last year, so the service was excellent! I enjoyed the spicy chorizo ravioli while the vegetarian half of the duo enjoyed the GF mushroom ravioli. Both were excellent. We hope to return in the future.

We were taken here by our OAT group for an early afternoon lunch. Service was superb. The beer was cold and the three courses were all excellent. The dining area is small, but cleverly decorated. I would definitely eat here again. The fish was really tasty!

We were looking for a rooftop bar with food. Our taxi driver suggested Casacasco. What a delightful afternoon we had despite the passing shower. We were served by Mauricio and Diana. The drink suggestion and the food suggestion were perfect. Exactly what we were looking for in local cuisine. We then left and walked around the city, but we had to go back for one last visit. This place is a must stop for exceptional service and oh and the view.Oh! What a nice visit you made us, thank you for sharing these moments with us and for your recommendations. Come back soon â¤

Our mission at Donde Jose is to tell the story of Panama through our cuisine. We use endemic ingredients, cook with age-old techniques, innovate where value can be added, and work every day to contribute to Panama's culinary identity.
I had to tell the chef how good the food was. I've tried over 100 restaurants in different countries this year and this is the most flavorful! The presentation and story of each dish are unique. I will eat here every time I am in Panama. Fixed menu + cocktail total $100.

I cannot but add my review to the ton of positive commentaries this place is getting. Itâs just a great experience. Very informal and basic, the place has nonetheless its flare. The food is great and very local, you need to choose it from a chalkboard and order it at the cash counter. A bit hidden, youâll need to look for it, but it will be worth it!As dessert I recommend El Rallado (see picture)!

Using all the influences of the Panama canal and natives ingredients MAITO is a Panamanian restaurant offering local food with a twist.
Booked my reservation a month ago. Requested an outdoor table (had read that the air conditioning inside was intense). March 23: arrived. Hostess didn't see me because, you know, single women over 30 are invisible. Hostess told me I had to eat inside because I was just one. Inside was freezing. When I told the hostess I'd only sit outside, she reluctantly pointed me towards a 4-top. I waited a few minutes, no one stopped by my table, I left. Atmosphere--inside and outside--was mediocre, or I may have sucked it up and stayed. Out $15 in cab fare, but dignity intact.
