What a nice surprise. Last time I was here the place was called el"600 de la Pepi". Spot and deco are almost the same (both great) but cousine and service just reachead another level of excelence: great friendly and efficient service and amazing good food, from starters to desserts, with a special mention to the exquisite rices.A must in la Cerdanya.Illustration: rice with sausage and mushrooms for 15â¬Labels: $$$, 2Eat, #mediterranean, #children, #terrace, #views, #mustgo

We had lunch at this delightful restaurant after a ride from Villelongue de Conflent on the Little Yellow Train. La Chaumiere is well worth the walk uphill to Font Romeu from the train station. The food was excellent and the staff impeccable. Highly recommended!

This place if always full with the locals. The service is very amicable and attentive (rare in Spain). The cuisine is typical Catalonian en I will suggest to stick the mountain dishes (sausages and meat).

I had a fondue with my wife at the Fromatgerie and really enjoyed the dinner there.Great processional service, fast and efficient. We enjoyed a beef filet and had a chocolate coulant as dessert.Great place, great food, great service and on top of all, acceptable prices...You better reserve well in advance if you want to enjoy it as it is most of the time fully booked. No wonder why!

Very cosy restaurant, I was seated upstairs as I did not want the alfresco tables due to the cold weather. The waiters speak some English, I understood some Catalan so it was not that bad.I had the scallops with rice, quite amazing how they managed to keep the seafood fresh even though it was located up high in the mountains. The traditional tomato bread was freshly made, and easily one of the best I have ever eaten.Do note that parking is a hassle in Llivia, my recommendation is to park along the main road, then climb up the hill where Can Ventura is located.

Cal Cofa keeps the number one in Llivia for a reason: location, deco, excellent service whoever is attending you, superb food quality and execution...A must go either for lunch or dinner.Illustration: onion soup for less than 7â¬Labels: 2eat, $$$, #mediterranean, #privees, #groups, #mustgo

This restaurant is in the old town of Llivia and is 5 minutes walk max from various car parks. The decor is modern and stylish, but not stark. Staff are young and friendly, and our waiter spoke French and a little English (Llivia is for some reason part of Spain so most people speak Catalan). The food is definitely very stylish, but at no point is it style over substance...the ingredients are top notch and treated with respect. My local pork belly with smoked endives was outstanding. They have a set menu for 30⬠including 3 courses, wine and coffee, which is ridiculously good value for food of this quality. They also have a tapas menu with prices from 5⬠so no need to break the bank. Wines are very interesting, with many smaller and organic producers, and prices start from 12⬠per bottle. They are victims of their own success to some extent as they are incredibly busy with tables full and turned over as quickly as possible, but you can't really complain.
