Old Providence Taste is the restaurant run by the Fishing Co-operative based in Santa Isabel, Providencia. It shares its building with the fish market so you can buy as well as eat! There is generally a "Fish of the day" or Shrimp - either of which can be grilled or fried or cooked with garlic or coconut. It is served with rice and a nice salad. Each main meal comes with a fish soup to start the tastebuds tickling. With two beers each, our two meals were equivalent to US$23. We also bought two kingfish steaks to take-away and they were US$3.00 per pound [2 big steaks for US$4.50]The staff are very friendly and the restaurant, restrooms etc are scrupulously clean.

We had 2 lunches there, good service and meal. Right in the front of the beach, $30 pp, with beverage and desert. Good option for lunch and dinner.

Sun Set View is the restaurant directly across the street (and also owned by) the Cabañas Agua Dulce hotel. Each location has its own restaurant - with separate menus. However, even if you don't eat here (which I didn't) you have to stop by here late in the afternoon or early evening to have a drink and relax on the patio. The view is breathtaking and very romantic. The drinks are not particularly strong. I had a mojito which was a bit on the weak side. But I found it interesting that they picked mint fresh from the garden when making the drink. The place is very casual. So if you stop by and don't see anyone working there - just cross the street to the Cabañas hotel reception desk and they'll be glad to send someone over to take your drink or food order.

The only business on the beach, yet the area surrounding the bar has more trash than the whole of southwest beach which has far more businesses. Countless plastic straws litter the place, bottles, paper plates, utensils, etc. Roland should make an effort between a few songs to to remind people to keep the place clean and use the bins, not leave trash everywhere, and have someone pick up some of the trash when things quiet down, takes just a few minutes. Good place to meet people if you enjoy reggae music, would rate it higher if an effort was made to keep it clean, Providence is like a little paradise, help preserve it!

Excellent seafood, the best we tried in the island. The standard fish they use to fry is called "esposa vieja" and it has a wonderful meat. The "mixed plate" is served with prawls and lobster by 30.000 pesos (10 dollars). Service is good and fast.

We ate at Miss Elmaâs 4 times during our 2 week stay, once just for their main ice-cream. The plates are generous and the food consistently delicious. Go for the specialties of Miss Elma, including the pescado dream and pescado with lobster sauce.

What a gem of a find, the food here is fabulous. A must while visiting providence. They do have a secret dessert, well I would like to keep it secret. Itâs pie! Coconut, pineapple, lime or cappuccino flavours wow wow wow, I tried them all. You can just pop in during the day and take home some pie for later. Do not miss out on the pie.

Al fresco seaside dining overlooking the beautiful National Park. Creative menu infuses local, Colombian and international dishes.
We ate here lots as we were staying at deep blue. The food is consistently excellent & the staff are charming. We especially loved the crab croquetas & the tomato prawn ceviche, the wine list is also impressive, there is a good selection at what I consider fairly reasonable prices given the location. All in all a fabulous place to eat.

We got one of the last tables on a Saturday night at this popular restaurant. It seems to be popular with both tourists and locals. I highly recommend the grilled barracuda. It is served similar to a halibut steak -and was prepared perfectly.

Giant "mixto" platters - enough to feed three people. I can't eat lobster, so unfortunately I did not get one, though I did not ask if there could be substitutions. Great view and ambiance.
