Since visiting I often think of this beautiful little place. Right next to a quiet beach, simple, home cooked and freshly home cooked traditional food. The owner welcomes you with a big and welcoming smile. I wish I was there now.

Le Fruit de la Patience is open for lunch and, though it didn't seem very popular, the food was outstanding. Our had some delicious fish fritters, grilled chicken and as for myself, it was the best colombo (fish) I'd had anywhere on the island with huge chunks of veggies mixed in the generous, spicy sauce. Well worth the price. Delicious!!

We had ribs and a mixed grill platter. Both were really nice, as barbecued food mostly is. Communication was so so since we aren't very fluent in French and they aren't in English. But it's okay, since we were able to understand each other. The place is situated right at the beach, next to a few other probably quite conceptually similar restaurants. We had to wait for quite a long time, but hey, it's the island way of life. You ain't in a hurry, right? The sauce de chien was good, we could have had more of it.

Lunch on the beach...small fried and marinated fish, a local speciality...fantastic. I like the no onion, Creole spiced onesThe service was good but it took a while to get our food, but peak season at noon. To be expected. Just have a drink, look at the gorgeous Caribbean water and enjoy the wait. it's worth it.....

We arrived at Ti Sable at 10AM and there are tons of beach chairs available. Well, evidently they are ALL reserved!! I didn't know anything this restaurant ahead of time since our apartment manager was the one who recommended this place. She didn't offer to call and make reservations, and my French wasn't good enough to call and reserve chairs. We stayed for 4 hours and never got a chair, even though at least 8 were still available at 2PM. It was frustrating and somewhat ruined our trip. There is a large rock shelf right where you get into the water here, and the water was somewhat murky, so you can't really see where you are stepping. One of the positive points was that the food at Ti Sable was really good and some of the waiters spoke English. There was a small gift shop, someone giving massages, and you could rent jet skis.

I like relaxed, unpretentious places that serve fresh food. Fredo's fits the bill for me. The fish and seafood came straight out of the sea next to the restaurant. The service is fast and really pleasant. Seating indoors on a sandy floor or outdoors on wooden tables, in the cool shade of a sea almond tree. I had souskay de la morue to start, a sort of saltfish confit with salad, followed by a tuna court bouillon, a fish stew. The helpings are generous. I struck up conversation with an entrepreneur from Petite Anse who came and shared the table. It was a great lunch.

We walked in at 7.30, the only people in the restaurant and my husband was itching to leave but so glad we didn't. Excellent excellent dinner. I had lamb, the husband had risotto and daughter had vegetarian option, sides were local vegetables. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious. The chef is very talented. When we left at 9.30, several couples had joined us. Dessert was artisanal ice-cream (coconut and basil were superb), creme brulee and profiterole. All fabulous. Small wine list but good and overall value for money considering how great the food was. The service was also highly attentive with a charming young man from Colombia. Don't miss this place, well worth the detour.

Ti Payot is a great lunch time spot right on the beach. Their ti punch and daiquiris are perfection! Their staff is friendly and some spoke very good English to help balance our poor French. Surprisingly, their hamburger is really good and their french fries. We also had the marlin tar tar which was so great with whatever seasoning they use. I loved it!

This is ranked #1 of restaurants in Les Anses d'Arlet, and we totally agree. Low lighting, well spaced tables and low music set the mood very well. Service is fast, friendly, and at least one staff person knows English. We can't comment on drinks, as we had ours at our apartment, but the food was exquisite! We started with house foie gras which had chopped ?walnuts that was delicious, as was the tuna tartare with passionfruit juice. Our mains were veal tartare (fantastic with blue cheese and diced green apples mixed in) and beef steak served with a side of Thai dipping sauce. The steak was an excellent cut and was cooked perfectly. This was an awesome end to our stay on the south end of Martinique, and was by far our best meal in the area.

Grenade & Basilic is a restaurant in a charming little picturesque street in the heart of the city, in a charming house dating back to the 1900s. Michel, the chief owner, offers a Mediterranean cuisine, mixed with local flavours. He used his talents in ma
The food and service in this small owner run restaurant were superb. It is a small restaurant with tables attractively laid with white linen. My husband had tuna cooked perfectly, pink in the middle as he loves it and a delicious christophene dish to go with it. My entrecôte steak was really tasty with excellent ratatouille and delicious mushroom sauce on the side. The owner did the cooking and served us. He made us feel so welcome and it was the perfect end to our stay in Martinique.Show lessHello and thank you for your positive review!
