Having spent the last few nights in the fancier spots on the beachfront we fancied something more homely and made the right choice. Very relaxed, very friendly, very good had me cooking. The BBQ ribs were excellent. And the price was perfect and an added bonus is that they donât add on the 28% tax most restaurants do.

A little tricky if you don't speak French or Spanish, but manageable. We ate here a couple of times - fish or shrimp with different sauces, rice, fries, vegetables. Reasonable prices.

The dishes you will find in our menu are a combination of traditional Italian cuisine, the new international flavors that culinary fashion brings us and memories of the fantastic Dominican cuisine. We want to offer you family warmth and a cozy place.
Last night we were so looking forward to our New Years Eve dinner with our family of 6 adults. We paid a deposit a few days ahead to hold our table as requested. The menu options looked amazing when we went to leave the deposit and the room was pretty and festive and by all accounts it should have been a delicious meal. From the very start, each corse was worse than the next. We all ordered different things so it was not one particular meal. Flavors were bland, food was very over cooked, fish and meats were dry and almost not edible. The side dishes at the buffet were nothingness yng special, also bland with no flavor. Nothing tastes fresh. The dishes reminded us of old fashioned TV dinners heated Ina microwave. It was a very expensive meal which we were happy to pay for when we read the menu. We left almost every course barely eaten. Dessert was probably the best part but hard to mess up chocolate mousse. For $600 USD plus drinks for 4 people, a real rip off. Nice people but they canât handle cooking for a crowd. unfortunately we can not make everyone happy, in the crowd we have made so many customers happy, we had 130 bookings for that evening and we received super positive comments from our customers.Sorry for your case, surely something will happen that did not allow you to enjoy the evening.I apologize for your late reply and your bad experience which, fortunately, is a small percentage of all the service we have supported.

Very clean restaurant very good service and good food as well.A little more expensive than other restaurants but worth it. Located on the beach the night sea breeze was exceptional. Very good restaurants for special occasions as it is decorated exceptionally. We ate there twice during the week and both times found it to be a great experience.Looking forward to our return to visit this very nice restaurant.

We stopped by for lunch during our day trip to Las Terrenas from Santo Domingo. We picked our own fish and the kids played in the sand while we waiting for our food. Family friendly and affordable m.

During the 3 nights, we spent on Las Terrenas, this was the only place we repeated!Food is really good, attention and service from the servers and the owner were great, they make you feel at home.On food, the absolute winner is the Guisado de rabo, a cow tail cooked with spices, tender and full of flavor. Also, the Ropa Vieja, de Moros & Cristianos, the fried plantains and yuca are great.About Mojitos, even they have an extense menu on options -we tried de passion fruit one and it was good- i prefer to stay with the original, amazing!Prices are fair, absolutely, we'll be back when we return to Las Terrenas.

Went with another couple. Setting is beach side and seating is comfortable. That's it! Nothing good to say about this place. Service was inattentive and lax. Food was terrible. Pass this one by. They don't want you. Staff are far more interested in gossiping than serving.

Ristorante accogliente con terrazza al coperto, giardino con ombrelloni per cene romantiche e spiaggia con tavoli a 5 metri dall'acqua
We decided to try this restaurant because of its proximity to our hotel. SO GLAD WE DID. The food is as absolutely top rate. Sarted with fried cheese with strawberry marmalade and honey to dip it in. Delicious. Then a small plate of fried shrimp. These shrimp come directly from the Caribbean beaches right in front of the restaurant. A flavor that is without description, you just need to try for yourself. I enjoyed a wonderful Angus Steak and my wife had the crab filled ravioli. Both OUT OF THIS WORLD. the staff, bartender and the owner are friendly and attentive. Oh and the view of the beach just yards/meters from the table. Romantic and cozy if your on a date. Wonderful for large groups as well. 5 stars and a top recommendation. Thank you very much

Weâd passed by this restaurant a couple of times, then checked out the reviews on trip advisor, there were a couple that said if you speak English donât bother going, this very nearly put us off going, so glad we did. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the waitresses spoke great English although I did try my bad Spanish on them, food was fantastic we both had the local filet mignon wa amazing, Frederico the host came over and introduced himself asked how our meal was and even gave us complimentary digestifs, sorry I forgot to mention the onion rings and mozzarella sticks that arrived at the table shortly after we arrived. Will def return before we leave and thoroughly recommend giving at a try, our best meal so far in Las Terrenas

Restaurant serving an interesting menu with very upscale products! The chef has 25 years of experience in the New York market and he is a culinary arts graduate - 1992 from the Academy of Culinary Arts in Mayslanding, New Jersey, US
A true gem in the middle of mediocre competitionWe had dinner at El Dieciocho twice last week while staying at the Sublime Samana resort. While we mostly ate off campus during our stay, many restaurants ended up in the 'they tried but somewhat failed' category. Not El Dieciocho though. Phil and his team 100% know what they are doing - creating a laid back atmosphere for their guests (with and without kids), an amazing service attitude, spectacular food and this special touch the overall experience only true connoisseurs will be able to provide. Phil doesn't see this restaurant as a primary source of income but one where he can share his dedication to a great culinary experience with his guests. We went there with our three kids, all with very different tastes and we all loved it so much that I begged Phil to come back to the Tristate area where he learned his trade. His wine list is small but does the trick, his cocktails are amazing, hands down. Now for the food - we ordered pretty much all starters he offers and loved them all. Just perfect, ideal to share at the table, tapas style. His chefs also didn't let us down with the mains. Did I ever think I would have Osso Buco in the Caribbean? Well, thank god I did as it was one of the best I ever had. My son's Filet Mignon - spot on! Pasta, fish, meat...whatever we ordered was top shelf. Desserts anyone? Oh yes, of course.....homemade Banana ice cream so perfect in terms of natural taste and its consistency that I ordered an extra scoop of it....Anyway - you get my drift.....amazing restaurant, run by very nice human beings who care more about you than their profits, treat their staff very well and also know how to price their menu. I am so grateful we found these guys, turned out to be the icing on the cake, literally! Otherwise I would have thought that Las Terrenas is not a place for foodies......Phil - I stand corrected!Dear Q6764GMfranks,It was with great pleasure to have taken care of your table twice during your visit to El Dieciocho and to know that you "all enjoyed" your dinning experience with us.It is great to see how well your children knows "food and flavor profiles"; I enjoyed all the questions they had for me!Thank you for recognizing the desire that I have to share my culinary experiences with my guests and for asking me to come back to the Tristate area. I look forward to your future visit to our restaurant and thank you very much for an excellent review of your dinning experiences at El Dieciocho!Sincerely yours,Philip
