Corozal Town is a town in Belize, capital of Corozal District. Corozal Town is located about 84 miles north of Belize City, and 9 miles from the border with Mexico. The population of Corozal Town, according to the main results of the 2010 census, is 9,871. Corozal was a private estate before becoming a town in the 1840s, mostly settled by Maya Mestizo refugees from the Caste War of Yucatán. Much of the town was built over an ancient Maya city, sometimes known as Santa Rita; this may have been the original Pre-Columbian town called Chetumal. Corozal Town was badly damaged by Hurricane Janet in 1955, and was substantially rebuilt afterwards.

I love going to Zoey's place because you always know you will get a home cooked meal just like mom use to make :-)The kitchen staff makes the best soups and they are always helpful with making any meal vegetarian for me. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner...you can't go wrong!!PS: Make sure you try the cucumber-ginger juice!!

I always have a nice time every time I go to Primo's. The food is great and the sea breeze is always refreshing. Love the ceviche, fried shrimp and chicken botanas. The drinks are also well done.
Mar's Caribbean Gardens is a family owned restaurant serving authentic Belizean Cuisine in a clean friendly environment.
If you are in Corozal and want real homemade Belizean food, this is the place to go! Fantastic food, friendly staff, awesome customer service, in a clean, nicely decorated restaurant with air conditioned comfort. (They have outside seating too.) On one of my visits there I ordered their ceviche, but forgot to ask for no hot pepper. When it arrived I was unable to eat it due to it being too spicy. It was my fault, but the waitress noticed I wasnât eating it and asked if it was too spicy. I told her yes, but not to worry, since I had eaten lots of other stuff. She told me the cook was making me a new one without the spice-no charge. The new ceviche was wonderful, and they packed up the spicy ceviche for my friend to take home. I highly recommend you visit this restaurant when in Corozal Town.
A friend took me to this restaurant and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We met some locals, other travelers, & enjoyed every morsel we ate. There is a bar within the restaurant, yes you can bring the kids, and the view of the ocean is awesome. Bay Breeze is the perfect name for the place. We went back again later & took our time, we liked it so much. A really comfortable place to stop for a bit.

Most places in Corozal are either not open for breakfast or have very limited menu options. Jo-Mel-In has many breakfast choices, and they're all delicious! Options range from eggs with chaya, omelettes, johnny cakes with beans, waffles, and cinnamon sugar french toast - my personal favorite. Their fresh natural juices are also always wonderful, and they have real coffee (hard to find in Belize). I haven't tried it for other meals, but would definitely recommend for breakfast!

A beach bar restaurant that served really good food. My wife had lobster and I had octopus and both were very good. We ate here several times and enjoyed every meal. Prices were more than reasonable. One night they had a chicken stew and it was all you could eat for $10.00 US . . . couldn't beat it! David is the owner and has a lot of information on the area and handles rentals in the casita's next to the restaurant.

This was a perfect spot to go for a quick, very casual lunch while enjoying the outdoor patio atmosphere by Corazol Bay. While the deep fried fish platter my lunch friends ordered looked just ho hum, the shrimp fajitas I ordered were outrageously fresh and good. Sure, service was slow.....but what's your hurry? You're in Belize!!!
