Reserved a table for dinner.Everything was perfect for the four of us with a table by one of the many windows with a view. Our server was friendly and efficient as I have always found the staff at past visits. The food was delicious and we had the curried mussels first, the pork loin with apple and the lobster pasta. It is always a great place whether stopping in for lunch while biking on the Georgian trail, or with a number of young children after a hike or a dress up celebration. Always welcoming, and comfortable.

Restaurant and patio overlooking the beautiful Thornbury Harbour and Georgian Bay. Simple preparations of local ingredients showcase the depth of local flavours, reflected in our shareable appetizers, burgers, salads and main dishes. Enjoy cold beer and c
Looks lovely and has potential. Only one waitress seems to know whatâs going on, but over worked and others are confused. Outdoor tables are just not right as if you want a table for six or more they put two round wire tables together. Not comfortable. Picnic tables are not up to justifying expensive entree prices. $27. For a small pork chop with soggy fennel and dill salad. Burgers were good but for $17. Not worth it. Can go to a fancy restaurant and pay the same. Might be good if they varied the menu. Lunch menu is good. Evening menu didnât seem to turn anyoneâs crank so the burgers were âitâ. Have been a few times now and continue to be underwhelmed. No menu at all for kids. Better off to go to the Grill at Lora Bay with a pati overlooking the bay!

Thornbury's "cornerstone" is freshened up, but like a few spots in town I feel they've missed the mark on providing something generous in portion, innovative in flavour and served with a spirit of hospitality. It fell short on all three accounts for us, again more of a drinking establishment than a must try place to eat.

Housed in a historic 1862 building, Winifred's is a casually refined English Pub nestled on a beautiful estate property on the Mill Pond and Beaver River in Thornbury. We're a gathering spot for all ages, family/community events, the largest patio in the
I have tried this restaurant a number of times and I am done trying. Every single time they are understaffed and that leaves patrons waiting and waiting and waiting. The food is average and having to spend 2.5 hours in a restaurant for pub food (long wait to order, average wait for food, long wait for bill - even after chasing down the server) is unacceptable. Hugely disappointed.

Thereâs care in every dish...very good burger with very good fries...salad of 2 generous pieces local smoked trout atop mixed greens with strawberries, blueberries and goat cheese lightly dressed with vinaigrette....chicken quesadilla with house made coleslaw. In fact all is house made. The vegetable soup was thick with vegetables but a bit tangy, and lacked body (I would add a little olive oil) but still satisfying. All served by staff who care about a good customer experience. Well known for catering. Lots of free parking and conveniently located in Thornbury.

My partner and I stopped here for lunch and both of us had the "Sandwich of the Day" which was a delightfully tasty brie on a baguette. The owners are both very friendly. Our sandwiches were delicious but they were not enough for our appetites, so we left a bit hungry. If you are not ravenously hungry and you like cheese, then this place is fantastic for a light lunch.

A Thornbury landmark restaurant located on the edge of the Beaver river/Mill pond dam. Enjoy amazing views and delicious food on the patio or apres ski by the cozy fireplace. Open for lunch and dinner
Went to the Mill for lunch and waited over 45 minutes before they came out with our lunch and gave it to the NEXT TABLE! About 10 minutes later they realized what happened and the waitress did apologize for the mix up and said they were rushing our order. After 15 more minutes we just got up and left. The hostess asked if we would like to speak with the manager and we said yes. But she made us wait as well and so we walked out.

We visit this area regularly, and since finding this place have difficulty staying away from it :-) They have a great quality coffee brewing, and their baked goods are so tasty. Highly recommend the cinnamon rolls and also their unique chop suey rolls are great too.

My Canadian cousins wanted to visit the Dam Pub so we did on a visit to Thornbury. The young woman server was friendly and nice and the prices reasonable. However, my âClub Sandwichâ resulted in an upset stomach. The guacamole on the top half of the ciabatta was black with herbs of some sort and not the fresh green colour of the avocado that my cousin had as a side. The chips accompanying the sandwich were overcooked little bits of potato. The chicken was moist and tender. My husband enjoyed his shaved beef sandwich and my cousins enjoyed their meals. The beer was enjoyed by the two men.
