We go to Fat Tony's Bar and Grill occasionally on Saturday night for the steak special. you get a 10 oz strip loin cooked the way you like it with choice of potato and mushroom and onions included in the price of 17.95. I got mashed potatoes with gravy and the gravy was to die for. It was very filling and no room for dessert. We totally enjoyed it.The service was excellent.
Four of us were looking for a place to have dinner in Pictou and came upon the Breakwater. Itâs a comfortable place with tables and booths, not fancy but very good. Thereâs a bit of everything on the menu, pasta, seafood, steaks, burgers, sandwiches. One in our group had fish and chips; one had mushroom chicken rigatoni, one had grilled salmon and one had pan- seared.haddock. Everything was very good, service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. A place to return to.

Hello. I have eaten here three separate times. The chowder, the fish and chip, and the hot hamburger. My meal was hot on the sandwich but cool on the fries. My partner had the fish and chips and the batter was still ozzing . Never notice that before, she skipped the batter ate the fish. Service was excellent will go again.

We are from South Carolina and were visiting friends here and they ordered 2 pizzas (medium size I would guess) for the 3 of us. They had pretty much everything on them. This is our second pizza experience here in NS. It's different. The meats were all chopped up and it was a bit greasy. To me it tasted ok, but I'm not a fan even though we consumed both pizzas. Also a bit pricey. The receipt said $44 for the two. Anyway it was interesting trying pizza made a little differently!!

Harbour side pub located on the Pictou waterfront. Local and international beers on tap. Wine and spirit selection. Also offering outside dining and drinks. Live entertainment
We came for dinner, staff was very friendly, we had fish and chips, chowder, seafood casserole. Everything was very tasty, fresh, well seasoned. But they were super stingy with the fries. The prices were good but the portions were bit small. The view from the patio is fantastic, what a great location, I would totally go back!

Wonderful cosy spot to relax with friends share a great meal and a drink. I am always impressed by the food quality and how everything is cooked to perfection, served hot and fresh!! It's like a separate cook did each item on your plate and they finished at the exact same time. While the menu is fairly small but with great choices, usually you are offered a couple extra daily specials. Our group of 8 ordered a variety of items and everything from the fresh bread and oatcakes to German rum cake was delicious. My steak was excellent along roasted potatoes and veggies. The New York strip loin steak came with peppercorns, mushrooms, onions and fetta cheese which was lightly baked on top and so good!!!I will warn you if you are in a rush, pick another spot and come when have more time. Things are cooked when ordered and that takes a bit of time prices are not cheap but very fair for the high quality meal, allow 2hrs from start to finish.

A very warm welcome on a very wet night. Our table faced the water and although it was raining we still enjoyed watching the storm. Our hostess and waitress were so friendly and attentive making our experience a delight. The food was delicious and the deserts to die for.

We ended up at the Stone Soup Cafe because another restaurant we were going to in Pictou for breakfast was lined up and we didn't want to wait. We arrived just 10 minutes after the cutoff time for breakfast and they wouldn't serve us breakfast because they said they only had a small kitchen and were now set up for lunch, we considered leaving but decided the clubhouse sandwich would work for breakfast so we both ordered the clubhouse, OMG it was GREAT, it was stuffed full of everything including real chicken. Others that were there before us were finishing up their breakfast, it looked very good. The next time we will go a little earlier so we can order breakfast.

We were entertained from the moment we entered Sharons by a group of older men obviously enjoying their morning breakfast. It appeared this may be a regular happening at Sharons. Our breakfast was hearty and very flavorful, coffee refilled often and with a friendly smile. Nothing fancy just good food with a friendly atmosohere.

I have been to this modern diner twice in about two weeks. I read the reviews and I frequent New Glasgow for work often so I thought that I would try it. Both times I had the chicken burger, which you can get grilled or southern fried. Both times I have had the southern fried which comes with a red pepper mayo and lettuce. I also order the sweet potato fries with the curry mayo each time. The sweet potato fries are an extra $2 but you get a TON and they are good. Probably the frozen kind but I do not mind. I am not a fan of curry but I like the curry mayo they serve with these fries. My most recent visit I brought my brother, who had the special of a burger with a mac and cheese patty on it and sweet potato fries. My mother had an open faced hot turkey and mashed potatoes. My mother did not enjoy the hot turkey. She said the turkey was old and not enough gravy. My brother really enjoyed his burger and sweet potato fries. It is honest diner food. Nothing fancy. Lots of good choices on the menu. It is the type of place where the food is hot and pretty good. Not five stars but it is worth a stop if you are going by,
