Remember, you get what you pay for. This isn't a low buget eatery but you will get a great return on investment! Lol, it's not this bad as an 'investment'...Meals range from $20 to $50ish and here is the deal: every appetizer, entrée, side dish and dessert is an experience. The service received (been there 4-5 times) always exceeded my expectations. Two days ago Anya re-defined what service means with her skills... she proposed dishes based on our conversation and really had a top notch approach. I would try to keep this employee as long as possible if I was owner of Rare restaurant... Food: We had an appetizer each, drinks, entrée and dessert. All incredibly awesome. I even changed my mind and decided to treat myself with a big steak (instead of a burger). Every bite I had reminded me of my first statement here: you get what you pay for. Quality, locally sourced and presentation all in your plate. It is an open kitchen so you can observe the masters at work. Advice: the restaurant has limitted spots so you better make a reservation, especially if on a Friday-Saturday.Thank you to all staff at Rare, you will see me again... and againCheers,

Needing a good nutritious lunch we found Soupçon and enjoyed three delicious soups and their hearty beer bread mini loves. Very inexpensive and excellent! This is obviously a very popular place as there was constant take-aways and running out of popular soups. Fortunately there was lots of choices. Hard working, nice women running the place, congratulations!

Peterborough's finest venue for great food, fun and entertainment Riley's is the place to be in the Kawarthas. Under one roof we have it all; a great pub with lots of nooks and crannies; a comfortable fireplace lounge and a pool hall with lots of tables f
Pub food.Mainly deep fried faire. No frills.Generous portions. Food is what it is. Burgers... chicken chips.... Waited a while to be seated at the front of the place and served on what could only be considered a quiet night. Staff obviously had their own âsectionsâ and did not attend anything but their own. When served our waiter was knowledgeable about local beer and offered choices. Friendly.Thank you for your review. Sorry you found your visit just satisfactory.as that is not what our guests have come to expect from us. We hope you visit us again.

We have been to Electric City Bread Company several times and have always been pleased. Excellent quality home-cooked food. Friendly service. Excellent coffee and homemade jams. We were disapointed recently when we arrived at exactly 10:45 for breakfast which is served until 11:00 and were curtly told by one of the staff that they were no longer serving breakfast

Our latest visit here was to celebrate my wife's birthday and we were both eager to see the summer menu. As usual, we were not disappointed. I like the Keg for several reasons; the staff are always friendly, professional and attentive, the food is always prepared to your liking, and the restaurant itself is always clean and tidy. Yes, there is a cost associated with this but in this case you get what you pay for. On this visit I had the iceberg salad with blue cheese dressing and though I am not a huge fan of blue cheese, it does work amazingly on this salad. Steak and seafood selections were delicious and wine pairings matched perfectly. I'll be back!

We had been the restaurant next door and I have always wanted to give this a try. I Iike the lay out of the place and friendly manner of the staff. The only downer was the bride wanted catfish, however they were out and they did not have any other fish option. She settle on a shrimp dish which she enjoyed. The corn soup was interesting. I had the pasta which heavy on the shrimp but light on the sausage and chicken, still a very tasty dish. The place is clean, staff is prompt and food is served hot. Would go again and recommend to others.

I have been to St. Veronus a handful of times and typically enjoy my experience. However, I attended for dinner with a friend (who I am introducing to various restaurants around town) and, although the food was delicious (as usual) the waitress that sat us was rude and impatient. Our waitress was friendly enough but also somewhat impatient. Since this was my second experience like this, I would not go back or further recommend this restaurant.

This smaller than I thought it would be was visited for the first time. We placed our name and waited for table at bar. Very good atmosphere at this point. We were seated on an outside table with what will likely be one of the remaining pleasant nights before itâs too cool. We had a variety of foods. Majority were good. A few of them were a bit too saucy and lack of taste - Carma. Nice restaurant on East City of Peterborough. Food is good. Price is good. Ale is very good.

We stopped in after a large event in Peterborough and was throughly impressed with how clean and friendly this restaurant was. The prices are fair with nice large portions and quick out of the kitchen. We will definitely be a must stop every year for us.
