Whenever I'm in the area, I have to eat in this extraordinary restaurant at least once. And I've been doing this for 12 years now. The Benchmark Restaurant at Niagara College's Canadian Food & Wine Institute is run by students who are studying at the institute and who will be working in upscale restaurants in the future. Therefore the prices are lower than in comparable restaurants. There were two of us for dinner and we reserved a table online, which worked without any problems. The menu is appealing and there is something for every taste. As you can see in the attached photos, the dishes are professionally presented and they taste delicious. In this respect, this restaurant is better than many commercial establishments in the area. This evening the service was a bit clumsy, but this was not a problem as it was a student in training who will certainly learn a lot more. You can also choose wines made by the Wine Institute itself. All in all, this restaurant is a pleasant place to spend an evening, which is also appreciated by many other guests. Therefore a reservation is absolutely recommendable.

The Cannery menu will appease every appetite with a balanced selection of steak, seafood, and vegetarian options. Our Executive Chef prepares generous portions that allow local Niagara-on-the-Lake ingredients to shine. Top it all off with a sweet and savo
We went here for our anniversary and booked well in advance, informing them that it was for a special occasion. What a disappointment. We were stuck in a dark back corner by the elevator and forgotten about. It was so dark that we needed to use our phones to light up the menu. The waiter took our orders and then disappeared for 45 minutes. When he finally came back it was with bread for the table and then 15 minutes later our entrees. It was a full hour waiting for our food and when it arrived it was terrible. My meal was so salty I couldn't eat it and when I told the waiter, nothing was done, they just took it away. I was still hungry so we decided to order a dessert and that took another half an hour to arrive! At the end of our meal the first waiter we had came back ( we had 2 different people) and he offered us a glass of sparkling wine to make up for the delay, nice offer but frankly not enough at that point. We were there about 2.5 hours in total, getting the check was not easy, a very long wait! We had terrible food and an awful experience. It ruined what was supposed to be a very special and memorable occasion, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. If you think I am being too harsh a critic, please read some of my many other reviews. I am usually a very positive and fair reviewer, I only give a bad review when I have a really bad experience. This restaurant deserved the bad review.

Step through the doors and back into history! The Olde Angel Inn (Circa 1789 - burned down as a result of the war of 1812 and rebuilt in 1815) is situated in the heart of the historic district. We have 5 cosy, comfortable historic rooms and we are a short
Our party of six enjoyed the well prepared English style Pub fare.We found the menu quite appealing. All our entrees were perfectly seasoned and attractively served. We had fish and chips, bangers and mash, seafood pie, scallops wrapped in bacon and kidney pie. The craft beer and local wines were likewise very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are most reasonable especially in the heart of the historic district. We had a reservation and were glad we did since the pub can get crowded especially on weekends when there is live entertainment..

We stopped here as part of a full day tour for lunch. It was a very leisurely, slow lunch. But there was a rather large tour group there at the same time and the place was full. The staff were friendly and attentive. Itâs in an old house and the decor was nice. Beautiful garden out back so sit on the back deck if you can. We werenât allowed to sit there with our tour group. Location is on the Queen Street, the main road in town. Food was all just excellent from appetizers to dessert. Menu was very limited but that might have because we were there as part of a wine tour. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review! We do offer a limited menu as part of the wine tour, however feel free to come back and try the rest of what we have to offer! We hope to see you soon!

Our party of two chose this restaurant as part of our milestone birthday girls getaway. The breakfast package was a room upgrade available with our hotel room at the onsite Prince of Wales Hotel. The menu was inclusive. We chose the Bakery Breakfast, including warm danish and croissants, a selection of preserves, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Our server was charming and attentive. We were seated at a window table. The view of the park and flowers was beautiful. The chef added a special sweet plate as a birthday treat. All food was fresh and nicely plated. The coffee was hot, the juice was tasty and cold. We would definitely return. Hi R8506AOlindam,Thank you so much for joining us for breakfast at Noble! Breakfast from the menu was a disaster. Forty five minutes to get the food which was inedible. Do not even consider the turkey sausage. We stayed 2 nights and the buffet breakfast the following day was ok. Nothing special. We also had dinner, one night. The food was really good. Very large portions. Consider sharing. In spite of the breakfast problems, the service was good. Everyone tries to please (except the breakfast chef).Room could use an update with an attractive bar area which sorely lacking in this hotel.Thank you wheeleee for taking the time to write us about your dining experience with us in LIV.
