Went here for dinner and highly recommend. Curtis our Server was amazing. Courteous, professional, and highly knowledgeable answered all our questions and made some great suggestions. We had the fried bocconcini to start and a glass of their house wine. Both red and white were nice and not pricey. Mains we had butter chicken Mac and cheese as well as buttermilk fried chicken. Very flavourful and great portions. We were full and even had leftovers for the next night. A real gem and great ambiance!

Must have been a bad night as staff was all young and crust was way too thick, soggy and undercooked. They need to cut down on dough & crisp the bottom. Toppings were fine but the crust was 1â thick and 2 â of it around edge. They could save money and make pizza better by eliminating 40% of dough!

We have tried this place a couple times, the first time the owner was there and we ordered two three topping pizza's one without cheese as my son has a milk allergy. We asked that the cheese included in the price of the pizza be added to the second pizza. He said no problem and did just that. The next time we ordered, the manager was on duty and rudely told us, "No they don't do that". I politely explained that the owner had no problem last time we ordered, however we were not believed. I ask politely if cheese was included in the price (which I knew was, it is in Canada) he said No, I pointed out that the other pizza we ordered was the same price as the one without cheese (same amount of toppings) At this point He got very stubborn and confrontational, refused to reason on it or accept that the owner had done it for us in the past. Refused to call the owner to ask him. So we left, who needs the aggravation. It was the point of the thing! We haven't been back since. Hope it was worth loosing the customers and those we discourage from buying there. We go to Pizza Pizza , Dominoes or Pizzaville none of them have any trouble accommodating us.

This has become my go to restaurant, and it's now open for lunch and dinner! I love the avocado eggs Benedict, they actually use a whole avocado! Such delicious goodness. I've also tried their crepes which is equally as good. The atmosphere is homey, with a fireplace, and it feels like home. I'm so happy to have this in our home town, and when my 80 year old Mom comes for a visit, the first place she wants to go is the Newcastle Griddle! Oh, and the cost is budget friendly!

Massey has been our go to place for souvlaki dinner takeout as far back as 2016.Prices have crept up a bit but that is the same everywhere. Alas the quality of the souvlaki takeout has dipped recently in our opinion, The pork in particular was significantly overcooked and hence dry. Looks like we will be looking around for another takeout dinner place.

This place is an interesting mix of Newfoundland food and Greek cuisine. I don't eat here often, but I haven't had any problems here before. The food arrived swiftly, and was pipping hot, I very much liked the chicken Slovaki and totally recommend it!The latrines were very clean. There is no wifi, nor is there any pokemon spots like gyms, or stops.Would I return? Sure!

We ordered the 3 eggs, bacon, homefries and rye toast breakfast. 1st time and and definitely would return. Long weekend in May and semi busy. The coffee was great and freecrefills. The breakfast was yummy. About a 10 min wait but worth the wait. Homefries hot and great tasting, real potatoes done on the grill. 3 eggs over easy perfectly cooked. About 3 strips of hot crisp bacon and rye toast perfectly done. We ate everything. Haven't had food this hot and perfectly cooked in a long time. Cash or debit only. For $6.99 plus coffee, a great value for the amount of delicious food.

Nestled in historic downtown Bowmanville, Starapples Restaurant at 77 King Street East has emerged to widen the Foodie landscape of this growing town on the Eastern tip of the GTA. In the casually elegant style of Caribbean hospitality, Starapples serves
Got takeout with the family, jerk chicken and yams and salt fish with plantains and the mango salad. Interior seemed very spacious and clean. Chicken was nicely spicy, saltfish was delicious, and the plantains were amazing. Only complaint is the mango salad, which was completely different from what was pictured. they showed a mango and tomato salad w some chickpeas compared to the 80% chickpeas with maybe 10 thin slices of unripe mango we got... Thanks for making it Starapples and for your feedback. Glad you enjoyed the Jerk Chicken and Saltfish. Our mango salad does not have tomatoes. Mango strips and chickpeas are tossed with bell peppers, red onions and cilantro. The salad doesn't use fully ripe mangoes as they would be too soft. I'm sorry you weren't happy with it and we hope when you come in next time, you'll try something else on us!
