Nice microbrewery in the heart of Montmagny. Good selection of beers on tap, and good presentation of flights. Waitstaff is knowledgeable about sequencing of beers so you can taste them properly. Atmosphere is nice and clean, with lots of TVâs and board games for people hanging around.

This Diner was close to our Motel and being hungry we decided to eat here instead of taking more time to look around for other options. On entering ,when they realized we were English speaking, we were given English Menus and spoken to in English which was very nice. I ordered the Rotisserie Chicken and should have known something was wrong when at 5:30 in the afternoon I was told they were out of white breast meat. I agreed then on the dark leg/thigh dinner. While waiting for our meal I looked around and saw that the floor was not very clean as there was quite a bit of food, dirt, etc. on it. I was somewhat surprised at this as they weren't real busy and it would have taken only a couple minutes between customers to keep the appearance of the interior clean. When my meal came the chicken, I feel, must have been sitting in a warming oven for who knows how long as it was so dried out I could hardly cut it and as such there was not much edible meat. Based on my meal I can't understand how this can be "the best Rotisserie Chicken" in town as some reviews claim once I saw them on our return home. Although the service was good, based on the food we couldn't chance eating here again.

On our way to the east coast we lodged in Montmagny for the night. We ventured out for some supper and came upon the Normandin restaurant. I ordered off the promotional seafood menu and my husband off the regular menu. Both meals were very good. My husband is French but I'm English and the waitress quickly switched over to English. The service was good and the restaurant was clean and bright. I would returnThank you so much Debarama! We are very prood you enjoyed your visit in our restaurant and really hope to have to serve you again in your next stop in Montmagny!

La Maison Rousseau offer an experience like no others. By the superiror quality of the food that we serve as much a the numerous flavor that you will taste. Our team will be happy to receive you for dinner and lunch. The Inn is perfect for people who like
I have stayed here before but it re-opened under new management and with a new name in May 2017. The historic stone building is a landmark. The rooms range $125-$150 in high season and mine was charming and complete if somewhat small with a very comfortable bed. (This business should also be listed under "hotels".)I arrived late afternoon and hit the restaurant almost immediately for a fine meal. Started with a local gin martini along with a deep fried cod fritter which was served with a cold cream sauce and it was succulent! Next a nice glass of Australian red to accompany a generous serving of beef tartare plated with a nice salad and delicious frites. The food was selected from la table d'hote and this combo was $34. I had no room for dessert but got it to go and it made a great late-night snack.Next morning I sampled their eggs benedict (just one, actually) and enjoyed it particularly because the ham had been cooked crispy which gave it a novel flavour. Served with very good twice-cooked red potatoes and fruit slices, it was a bargain at $10 including very good coffee.La Maison Rousseau is the star of the old town section of Montmagny and their spacious, shaded courtyard is beautiful day and night. The town itself if delightful; the locals are friendly and helpful. Most whom you will be likely to meet speak at east some English as well as French. An altogether a delightful overnight stay.

Loved this place. Nice atmosphere, quiet and homey. We were greeted at the door by a personable young man who immediately joked about our finding someone who spoke English. He then went over the French menu with us, chatting and making us happy we had chosen the restaurant for lunch. We both ordered seafood crepes and Caesar salads - both delicious - with very generous portions served by yet another friendly person. We were sorry we were only passing through as we would have enjoyed another meal there!Thank you, it's very nice. See you soon :)

This was our first time in this town and we found this property on trip advisor. It was a little difficult to find even the narrowness of the streets but our patients and diligence paid off.The menu is varied, although there is a predominance of pasta and Italian dishes.I would highly recommend the Caesar salad and the seafood linguine. The fish chowder is nothing short of outstanding. The wine list is adequate and the cote du Rhone is a good choice if you are going to have a red wine.Desserts are somewhat limited and because they are made in-house they are in somewhat limited quantities. The staff are, as you would expect, primarily Francophone but they show extraordinary patience towards those whose capacity in French is limited. (There is no English menu â but the same is not hard to figure out). This property is well worth a visit.

This is an express restaurant so they don't serve at the table, it's cafeteria style! I got my to go since I was staying at the hotel. Very fast service and great staff! They even sell beer and wine!!

I found this place very ordinary. The interesting name gave me higher expectations. I was disappointed.

La Couvée welcomes you to their restaurant. They are open at night all week. You can pay by American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
During our stay in the hotel, we had dinner and breakfast in La Couvee.Compared to the rooms and the atrium of the hotel, the restaurant looks much more attractive. The waitresses are very friendly and attentive, they constantly keep an eye on the customer to see if everything is ok. And it was ... we had a delicious minestrone soup, followed by the catch of the day and a fabulous linguini due salmone.Quantity and especially quality at a very acceptable price.Breakfast was also very nice. Different waitresses, but again top service. You can choose from the menu and enjoy an excellent meal at a reasonable price.
