A nice unpretentious restaurant that serves very good food. The waitresses are friendly and seem to genuinely like their jobs, which isn't always the case as we all know. So for a nice relax meal in an economical restaurant this place fills the bill.

The restaurant "Au Pavillon Noir" mission is to provide a tasteful table of various culinary influences whose dishes will agree easily to wines and beers available on site. The house specialty: smoked products offered throughout the map. Everything is ser

Our waiter was excellent. The chef came to see us after our meal to see if we were pleased. Our food was delicious. prices were reasonable.

On our excursion we stopped at this delightful cheese factory and were glad that there factory still is in business today after a fire years ago that destroyed the facility years ago and then they rebuilt. We were given information about the factory in a very nice presentation including samples of their cheeses. Absolutely worth a visit when you are in their area.

We enjoyed our dinner here, at the recommendation of Pauline G. at Auberge de la Rivière Saguenay. The langoustines were delicious and the steak was very good as well.

This hotel was ok, clean, partly refurbished but nothing special. We had a ground floor room which would definitely be accessible to wheel chair users or any disabled person. Seemed a bit understaffed but in the morning and later on, but we were not affected by any of this. Next door there is an excellent restaurant but I don't remember its name

A nice former residence, good location near the waterfront and cruise terminal, pleasant front porch with adorable flower arrangements, interesting and promising menu, cheerful reception and a colorful décor and ambience; everything to set the stage for a pleasant evening with family members we hadn't seen for years. The cod was delicious, well presented and tasty. On the other hand, the General Tao was not what we expected. The relatively large chunks of bland and stringy chicken were dry to the point of being tough. I am sure that is not what the General had in mind when he chose his favorite dish to feed his troops. Unfortunately, the unusually long wait for the main course and the level of noise coming from the few occupied tables this evening did not help matters and made it hard to relax and carry on a comfortable conversation. We were eager to walk, and to have a change from the ship's cuisine. Trip Advisor contributors mentioned La Grange aux Hiboux, and we could see it was a lovely short walk along the waterfront to the restaurant. When we got there, it was nice enough to sit outside. We had the buffet, lots of nice choices but best of all was the salmon, beautifully cooked, just right, moist and tender. When we got there, most of the clientele were local people, and before we left other cruise ship people were sifting in. La Grange serves Poutine, which is a great local favorite.

Following a major and lengthy strike/lock-out, Hotel des Gouverneurs totally transformed its properties in Sherbrooke and Chicoutimi (Saguenay) by creating somewhat of an upscale experience under the OTL brand. With this comes the Boefish restaurant in both location - and frankly there is nothing else as "trendy" as Boefish in the area so they pretty much have that market all for themselvesWhat I liked: Contemporary, open setting - but without being too loud. Diverse food menu with nice twists on common, and less common dishes. Very friendly and prompt service. Good portions for the prices and definitely premium food/presentation. Food quality is above average. Great mix of flavorsWhat to watch for/could be improved: Meat was very slightly overcooked, but these things can happen. All in, very highly recommended - regardless of whether you are staying on site or notDear guest,We thank you for sharing your impressions. We hope to see you soon!
