Eaten here several times as older friends like historic building. But the food is very poor ....their pasta sauce is watery just like their potato leek soup....not creamy. Lots of pasta on plate...low on cheese. Lots of bread with meals too. Low on substance and flavour in soup...don't understand why? Pastrami sandwich..thin slices like 2 thin slices of meat and 2 thin slices of cheese. This cook needs to go eat a proper smoked meat sandwich at Schwartz delicatessen in Montreal!. Seems you get pasta and bread to fill you up and low proper tasting quality proper flavoured food. Coleslaw very good. Dark chocolate cake delicious. Left and went out to eat a satisfying early supper in Milton. Always disappointed a food here trapped coming with friends and feel it is flushing expensive bill money down toilet. Staff very friendly. Food so disappointing.

I have used their "take out" service and have eaten in the restaurant. The sandwiches and bread are excellent. I would highly recommend the mussels for a lunch time meal as the size is perfect and the flavour is amazing (and you get a nice stick of bread). I have also ordered sandwiches for a professional seminar (again - take out) and everyone in the office was very impressed. I would recommend this restaurant.

Every now and then, in this broad, spinning world, you stop in for a meal at a higher end restaurant such as The Keg, and you are treated in such a kind, caring and professional manner that it blows your already elevated expectations right out of the ocean. So it was in late July when we dragged ourselves in here, far from home and heavy with the weight of a family accident and hospitalization on our minds. We were cheerfully greeted and given a sweet 2 person booth which suited us perfectly. Our server -Rachel, we believe- took absolutely impeccable care of us and seemed to sense that we were on a low. We told her our troubles and she took the time to listen empathetically. We will long remember her kindness, attention to detail and sterling service, but in all the shuffle, we arenât certain of her name. We enjoyed every single aspect of our meal, and were surprised when Dani, the Manager, came to our table to offer her support and encouragement during our difficult time. Itâs been a very long time since weâve experienced such kindness and empathy while enjoying a five star meal. We will definitely return to this Keg if our travels take us back to Guelph. Highly, highly recommended.

A proud B-Corporation serving up local & sustainable fare. We pride ourselves on waste reduction, protection of our waterways and sourcing the freshest local ingredients.
Visited for dinner with my husband and two kids ages 10 and 7. I had a the pan seared salmon. It was fine, by definitely not as nice as you would expect based on the menu description and price ($29). Basically a piece of seared salmon on a miniscule of raw veg. My husband had the mussels and nachos which again were average. The kids had kids meals with no complaints. My main feeling after several visits to this place over the last 5 years is that the menu seems really good, but the food never measures up, leading to disappointment. Its probably best to save Borealis for drinks after work and share the ploughmans platter (Its pretty good to share with drinks).Hi Jean,Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback about your experience at Borealis. I am so sorry to hear that you have found the food to be disappointing, that is certainly not the standard we strive to uphold. I would love an opportunity to discuss how we can entice you to come back and give us another try. Please send me an email at [email protected] and we hope to see you again soon!

A unique pub experience in Guelph, The Baker Street Station is proud to offer its patrons the finest food and drink in a thoroughly modern yet surprisingly traditional atmosphere.
Baker Street is always my first choice out for a pint. They have a great beer selection that rotates (posted on chalk boards) and a short gastropub menu.

Stopped in for crepes on a Sunday and was not disappointed. They offer a great appetizer menu in the evening as well. Good place to stop in before heading out on the town.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio with friends. The service was excellent - knowledgeable and friendly and very adept at providing recommendations. The appetizers we very good - grilled calamari, crab cakes and the salad. The entrees did not disappoint - grilled salmon, scallops, steak and short rib. All four entrees were delicious. Dessert selection was good - creme brûlée and the tart. Everything presented in an eye appealing fashion. For certain a place to return to.

We live close to Manhattans and we have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Saturday was our first visit with the new owners and new menu. Upon arrival, we soon saw that the table promised was taken. There was no apology by the hostess and made to sound like it was our fault. Our server was rude and rushed us to order. In the past, we would sit and enjoy drinks and music without feeling rushed. Before 11 pm staff were going through a cleanup routine and we felt as though we were overstaying our welcome and imposing on our server. Maybe update your hours of operation on Google. On a positive note, the food was delicious. After being a regular customer at Manhattans the last few years, thia night was a huge letdown and leaving us with mixed feelings of ever returning. This has been a landmark in Guelph and the new owners have pretty big shoes to fill. Replacing the server that we had might be a good start.

My husband and daughter ate at this restaurant and said how good it was, so I decided to try it out myself. They were right. Absolutely delicious food. I had the potato pizza and my husband had the pork belly from the harvest specials menu. He isn't a lover of cherry, so we substituted the cherry sauce for the red current reduction and it still paired really well. Kudos to or server, she was great. I had the drink special as well, so good.We ate inside because the patio was very busy. Reservations would be a good idea on the weekends. We will definitely be back Hey there, thanks for the great review!I'm glad to hear you found the food to your liking, we're always proud to serve what our amazing heart-of-house team is cooking up.
