We were passing through Fort Macleod and were looking for somewhere for lunch. We ended up at New Hong Kong Restaurant. We tried one of their Vietnamese dishes, Rice Vermicelli. It was ok but rather disappointing. My wife thought that she could taste something moldy. I didnât notice it. There is free parking out front. We wonât be back.
Eat-in, Take-out and Catering to reunions, weddings, corporate events, etc. Fresh meat and bakery products fresh daily. Can cater up to 40 people on site. Fresh packed lunches-to-go
We had our Christmas Party meal at the Grill. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly courteous and welcoming. The meal was excellent and the fact that we could bring our own wine was really good. I definitely have no problems in recommending this restaurant.

We were a bit put off by the huge number of items on the menu from all over the world, feeling that no restaurant could produce that many things well. Our waiter suggested that we stick with the Chinese dishes which we did and were not disappointed. All four plates featured fresh vegetables and were delicious.
Sanjay and his crew work hard and give fast service. Don't forget that Subway now does hot soup (Hey, it's Canada) and salads, besides the sandwiches. BTW washrooms were spotless.

3 kilometres North of Fort Macleod on Hwy #2 North, then 16 km West on Secondary Highway #785.
We visited on a Sunday as part of a tour bus around noon. By the time we had gone to see the cliff and then watch the film on the buffalo jump, we went to the cafe for a late lunch. The menu is rather basic. We thought we would have to try something buffalo but there was only buffalo chili left, with no stew available. The veggie plate with rice, one of two vegetarian alternatives was also out. The rest of the menu was burgers, fries and other not very healthy alternatives. There was a lot of plastic around too. Shame. It would have been nice to see a plastic free environment with a fresh healthy food menu, exp on this environment of conservation and care for wildlife. Perhaos something management could think about for the future?

Stopped through town on the way to the mountains. We had a classic burger, mushroom burger, deep fried pickles a slice of pizza and shakes. Each were delicious. I would have tried the ice cream as they has some different flavours but we were full. It was midday when we arrived and no wait. Yes I would stop again.

We go to MacLeod's at least once a week. The staff is efficient and friendly. The food is plentiful. Reasonably priced and very very good. The veal cutlets are just like the good old days with mashed potatoes and gravy. Excellent burgers, beef dips, and steak sandwiches. Pizzas are great too. Comfortable seating in both lounge and restaurant.

Large menu with something for everyone. Good service and reasonable size portions for the price. Not remarkable but not bad either. A useful place to know about if you are in ndg.
