Things to do in Deer Lake
We were really disappointed by the service, especially since we loved the food. Our waitress didn't tell us the daily specials until after we already decided what to eat and ordered. What made the experience worse was every table was abandoned except for a party of 30 that came in. There were 2 waitresses, 1 hostess, and maybe 5 parties in the restaurant. But the group of 30 was the only group getting service. We waited over 30 minutes for our check. She couldn't get the card reader to work and said she would be right back, and another 20 minutes went by. People came in to eat and left because no one came to get their drinks. The hostess disappeared for most of the time, so you had people coming in and waiting to be seated and didn't know what was going on. Very poor wait staff here. I would eat somewhere else or at another Wing'N It location.
Located at 11 Trans Canada Hwy, Deer Lake, NL, Tim Hortons is the perfect place to go for great-tasting, freshly brewed coffee. Our coffee is made with 100% Arabica beans, sourced from the world's most renowned growing regions. We also offer specialty bev
Stopped in for a quick breakfast bite with friends. Service was fast and efficient, with our order placed and produced in short order. The seating area was relatively clean and immediate seating was available (0800 hrs.) as a lot of coffee/snacks were âto goâ.
My husband and I ate here two evenings and had two breakfasts that were included in out hotel booking. The servings are generous and the food is quite acceptable, but nothing exceptional. The meal-sized garden salad was fresh and tasty. The pan-fried cod was good. The breakfast includes fried eggs, easy over, fried potatoes, baked beans, sausages, yogourt, fresh fruit (melon and pineapple) plus the usual fare. A continental breakfast begins at 3:30 a.m. to accommodate air travelers. The airport is very close by and easy to reach via the Trans-Canada highway which passes right in front of the hotel.Access to second-storey rooms is by stairs only. The room was adequate, clean and everything - fridge, microwave, Keurig coffee maker and WiFi worked fine.

Starting to prefer A and W over Tim Horton's. By the way the "A" is for Allen and "W" is for Wright, the two founders.

We came here on a Wednesday night so we got some of the Wednesday night specials. The menu was varied with both Mexican and traditional favorites. Our service was fairly quick and our waitress was pleasant and friendly. Food was very tasty with good sized portions. Fun but dark atmosphere. It was in a hotel so a little hard to find. I would go again.

At Pizza Delight, our pizzas are legendary because they are prepared with dough that we make fresh every day in our restaurants, our secret recipe pizza sauce, and the freshest toppings. Our Italian inspired menu has a variety of mouthwatering food that i
We were pleased to learn that Pizza Delight offers gluten-free pizza crust and knows enough about gluten intolerance to note which meals are appropriate on their menu. On arrival, our group of six was seated immediately and our waitress did a great job of getting our orders, making sure we had the drinks we wanted and checking in periodically. On the other hand, it took a ridiculous amount of time for our food to arrive. We didn't order anything unusual -- pizzas all around and directly off the menu for the most part. Despite that, our food didn't arrive for at least 30 minutes, maybe longer. When it did get there, it was decent - pretty typical for a pizza place.

I have given the Deer Lake Motel restaurant a '4' stars again - the food remains very good value for money, is well cooked, tasty and served by very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable staff. We had several meals (breakfast and dinner) over a period of a few weeks. Evening meals remain excellent, the breakfast however and this is the reason for the but... in the title. They have started to serve seasoned hash-browns with their breakfasts and one of the seasonings is garlic. Unfortunately my wife is allergic to garlic and quite frankly I don't want the taste of garlic to linger for the rest of the day! The staff were very good and offered to substitute grilled tomatoes instead of the hash-browns but its not the same. A choice of non-seasoned hash-browns would be a much better option.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at this restaurant while visiting Deer Lake. The local favorite. Great loose meat burger and perfect onion rings and fries. I would plan on take out because the restaurant is very small and only seats 6. Enjoy!
