Wow, 39,753 restaurants in 101 countries. Must be doing something right. I’ve been to a few of them around the world - Mexico, Germany, France come to mind but I have never written a review. I love going to subway on a hot day to get a cold sub, tastes great. I like the idea of adding the ingredients that you like and not premade for you, and it’s even somewhat healthy for you. Can’t go wrong eating at a Subway.

We were overnighting in Comox prior to taking the ferry to Powell River. We were staying in a tired motel, we were beat from a long drive and wanted take-out rather than going out. Googled restos in Comox, Church Street Bakery came up, with the pizza menu. We decided on personal pizzas, when we placed our orders Mr Chef actually talked us out of multiple ingredients, said max of 3 or 4 better, so glad, he was right. Plus these were the best pizzas ever! Comox you are so lucky!

Greeted by a smiling server. Coffee and menus arrived promptly. The server (Brandy) was most attentive and personable. I ordered the Seniors breakfast, a smaller portion of one egg, bacon, hash browns and toast. My husband ordered the ham omelette and pronounce it excellent. All very tasty and reasonable prices. A varied menu for lunch and dinner. Licensed but limited selections of wine or beer. We will return.

This is our second time here. The first time was when they first opened, we chalked up our experience to their being new, so decided to give them another try today First of all, we waited at least 10 minutes for someone to come to our table, when they finally did we were informed that they were sold out of hamburgers—at 5:00 pm. Really?? So we had ordered two beer and waited at least another ten minutes for our beer and finally went inside after the man behind us had received his beer when he had ordered after us.When we saw that our beer hadn’t been poured yet,we cancelled our order and left. The manager was right there during this, you would think he may have stepped in to see what the issue was, but no such luck. We are now at Land and Sea—where we should have went from the get go Hi there, very sorry about your experience; we definitely didn't meet up to our standards on your visit. If you decide you would like to give us another chance, please reach out to me: [email protected] and I will arrange for a gift certificate to cover your dinner and will get the Tragically Hip cranking, fully completely. We've had fantastic feedback from our guests and apologies you got burned twice. Specific to not having our hamburger, we decided to only go with local beef and we are very happy with that--but from time to time our local supplier hasn't been able to keep up but starting tomorrow we hope to have that issue fixed permanently. Regards, Chris

The Griffin is located just at the north end of the main runway at RCAF Comox. In the summer, it's great to sit outside and aircraft watch. Inside are all sorts of Air Force memorabilia, including great photos! In May each year, it's a great stopover when heading down to Air Force Beach to watch the Snowbirds practicing their precision aerial maneuvers. A real "Locals" hang out. A good varied menu and friendly staff.

We were very impressed with Black Fin. The atmosphere was lively and yet we were able to carry on a conversation. We were there for a late lunch during the week and the restaurant was full.It is an attractive open space with fabulous views of the marina. Our server was lovely. Very friendly and efficient. The food was the impressive part. I had the wild salmon with the house sauce. The fish was fresh and flavorful. Large portions too.Take a stroll by the water after lunch. The fishing boats along the pier sell their fresh catch so we bought one of the freshestand tastiest halibuts we've ever eaten.Would definitely recommend this restaurant.Hello,Thank you for the wonderful review and the great recommendation! We appreciate your patronage and look forward to warmly welcoming you back to the Blackfin very soon.Cheers,Lisa MoyesOwner/Operator
