There seems to be a problem with several different GPSs in finding this restaurant. Either the street (12,300 rue Chaumont, NOT rue DE Chaumont) or the postal code (J7J 08) is not in the GPS database. However, if you call the restaurant (450-951-9630), the staff will guide you there. Basically, you need to take Exit #28, and keep to the south. If coming from Montreal, you need to exit Hwy 15, and go SOUTH to the bridge to the west side. If coming from the north, just head toward the Petro Canada gas station, and the restaurant is visible from there. In any case, the appetizers and main dishes are satisfactory, but nothing special. They have a veggie appetizer(deep-fried cauliflower), but the tofu croutons were as hard and chewy as india rubber. The two fish dishes we tried were OK. The grilled cheese sandwich was very dry (overtoasted).

The food is medium. Very big portions at reasonable prices.Service leaves to desire but what really got us was the fact that the servers started passing the broom and moving tables to clean up around us. Just like at McDonaldâs!!Not too appetizing!Nope wont go back.

I went there yesterday for my in laws 35th anniversary,I chose this place since it was close by my place since I live in blainville. we were 6 people in total and includes my son of 12yrs..I've worked in resterants before when I was younger bcuz my family owns a bunch of them and I I've been eating at Restos all my life basically. Many friends of mine own Restos as well,,didn't feel like driving to far since I laws are older.lets get started;my wife ordered prime rib since its there specialty,my mother lot orders filet mignon and rest of us we ordered steak 16oz since its a steak house, first of all: we ordered the steaks medium, they can all raw.we send them back to cook them more,,I decided to take a walk since its like a open kitchen,I c the so called chef hitting the steaks with the spatula while on the grill.steaks came back to table, even worse, they had a bad smell that's bcuz he don't clean the grill after apply in different food on and the fat burns and whatever is on it will take that burning fat smell.the steaks were rough and hard to cut.in my experience the grade and quality of the steaks were the cheapest quality.i know for a fact when u see the chef hitting the steaks that means there's many nerves in the steak and when u hit it in makes the steak softer this way it won't be hard,,that's only on cheap quality meet they do that.i was hungry and I still ate half of it.the rest took few bites and that's it,,the waitress new the steaks were horrible and didn't say anythin if welded it or not..I was paying attention around the store since it was busy, and was watching other people complaining but not saying anything.i was seeing people just chew and chew with the cheap quality steaks,my point is I can't believe this place was packed with all the garbage food there serving.when u go to another steak house and the steak is not good they don't even charge u or at least they would make u another one.this place didn't care .the bill came at 440$ and I paid it and left a tip,,but never again. Do ur self a favour stay away from this place.appearently the owners are 2 ladies our waitress told us. Go to the Keg or Moises drive the extra 20min and go eat a steak elsewhere.im just surprised that people keep going back there..I'm not sure who's rating this resterant a 4 star but just looking around the place and seeing elderly people trying to eat this garbage quality steaks there serving,,stay away from this place it's just a money grab place,,it's prices are same as the keg and other good steak places.

Food was average like any other breakfast place. Nothing to really say wow! Its at the end of a strip mall so nice and quiet. Service was really slow.

On Thanksgiving Monday we were going to TuttiFrutti for breakfast because our grandchildren love their chocolate crepes. You can imagine our surprise when we found out that the place was now Au Petit Chalet. Much to the displeasure of the young ones, we decided to give the place a try... Excellent, excellent choice. One of our grandchildren summed it up nicely...This is like a cabane à sucre(sugar shack)...plenty of homemade food, maple syrup (more needed) good pancakes and crepes, beans .. copious portions, great choices served up with a smile. The young folk have voted:This is definitely a keeper and they want to go back when they visit QC.

If you are looking for a trendy pub atmosphere with great food, then give this place a shot. Daily specials offer something different than your average burger and fries. We were a table of 8 and everyone enjoyed their choices from the onion soup with onion ring, Tao battered fish on Asian salad, veal chops and salmon tartare. The donuts served in a paper bag with dip was a hit as well. Dinner for 2 with drinks and tip was $85.

I work in the area and we go to this place often. The chicken is good and always warm, it comes directly from the kitchen. I like the sauce that is just spicy enough... No surprise!

Traditional "mom & pop" sit-down and takeout restaurant, serving the best poutine in the north crown of Montreal.
The best poutine in the area. Lots of variety and big plates. Go there between rush hours if you want to sit and enjoy your poutine regular or with special additions on it ! Service at the table.
