One of our favourites in Barrie. Enjoyed another yummy meal last week. I had the Buddha Bowl which was crazy amazing for a bowl! I recommend you make reservations, busy little spot!

The fish and chips are excellent. Nice light batter and not greasy. Service was OK. The only issue I had was the ambiance. Seating is limited and not cozy. Last time I went was early spring. It was cold outside and every time new customers came in a cold draft filled the whole seating area. Needed to wear my winter coat throughout the meal. That's why I gave it a 4,.

Cool, casual and comfortable. Located on Lower Bayfield Street for nearly 30 years this humble restaurant / bar features some brilliantly crafted eats, cool & colorful cocktails, a really nice selection of wine and the atmosphere to match. Warm and cozy t
I have experienced Michael and Marions several times. Held my bestie's 50th birthday party of 20, dined on my own, with friends and attended an event there support owner Kent Smith and his staff raise money for a charitable event with 100% of proceeds going to help people in dire need. Love this place, cosy, great spot for going out with your special someone for much needed re-connection and a romantic date night (winkie-face!). Get off your phones and go for dinner! This was one of our favorite restaurants in Barrie. The food was excellent. However the last couple of times the food was not as good. Service was average. It is one of the more expensive restaurants in Barrie, but under the new management the food has become what is expected in a mid range price restaurant. I doubt if we will ever go back.We appreciate you taking a moment to share your rating following your recent visit to The Crazy Fox Bistro. It seems that this was not the experience that we wish for you to have. Our dishes are made from the finest quality ingredients from scratch. If you would kindly be able to give me a call at (705) 737-5000 as we hope to be presented with another opportunity to better serve you in the future. Thank you, David.

Positives: Charly our waiter was outstanding, very personable and efficient Prime Rib was very nice and cooked to the point requested.Negatives: The Shrimp appetizer was mediocre at best. Served in an escargot dish with no more than 2 shrimp cut up into small morsels. Very oily and not very tasty. $11.00 for the dish is an outrage The Escargot appetizer was also very mediocre, tiny escargots in a sauce that was very salty and not very tasty. Once again overpriced. Told the waiter we wanted to take our time and spend a nice evening at the restaurant. Less than two hours and the dining experience was over. I believe it is about the in and out volume rather than customer satisfaction All in all, $190.00 for two with a bottle of wine, appetizers, and main course and tip, was over the top. We will not return.

My wife and I had a late lunch here on Thurs Aug 29. We both had burgers, I had fries and she had onion rings. Both burgers were well cooked, juicy and flavourful. If you have a craving for a big mouthwatering burger - try this place. My fries were good, but oddly they were very short. Not sure if thatâs the way they serve them, but if you like âlittle bitsâ of fries then your in luck. The onion rings were graciously removed from our bill. Although they seems good, they were so greasy to the point that there was probably a tablespoon of grease in her container - we recommend you skip those. We will go back though, those burgers are mmmmm.

We're staying right across the street from Donaleighs Pub in Barrie, ON and tried this our first night here. Great outside seating and huge restaurant/bar inside with another back room for live entertainment on weekends! We ponied up to the bar and were delightfully served by Melissa. Excellent server, fun, witty and very attentive! We had a couple of cocktails perfectly prepared and settled in on splitting the meatloaf! It was probably some of the best we have ever had...tasty, juicy and a huge portion that still left us with leftovers! The gravy was delicious, the 'beet' salad was a nice change and we loved the fresh veggies that came on the side. Perfect meal and perfect setting! We will definitely be back again to this gem! Enjoy!

Did the groupon promotion of prix fixe. Wife and I had the mussels and cauliflower appetizers and the salmon and chicken entrees with the cheesecake and lemon creme brule desserts.Everything...everything was unbelievable flavorful. the cream red pepper orzo, the gnocchi, the thai sauce with the mussels, the seasoning on the cauliflower ap...all was just incredible. And wonderful portions. Salmon was cooked to perfection..chicken was great, a smidgen on the dry side but so flavorful. This is fine dining, it isn't cheap even with Groupon, especially when you add some wine and taxes that are on the full value of the meal. And of course you have to tip and I tipped more than my normal 15%...Jose the waiter is in the top 2-3 waiters i have ever had in my life. Quiet but engaging, attentive service, professionalism....all in all, total pride in what he does with a smile and honest advice. No doubt he was the most attentive waiter I have ever had.Ambiance is nice.Outside is the only downfall of this place...which is nitpicky..overlooks a street, tattoo parlour, parking lot. If this was in a bit better location with some sort of idyllic view...the lake, the woods, even some nice lawns, this place would unbeatable. Oh yeah, lemon creme brule...wow was it good!!!Even the washrooms. individuals cloth hand towels that you put in a wicker basket.

Not from barrie area, but like to visit as itâs a change of scenery. Went for a walk after dinner at State & Main which is amazing. Thought we would grab a night cap and dessert. Hostess\Day manager Heather quickly greeted us. We mentioned we just wanted a drink and maybe dessert. We will sit at the bar. Asked her about the 4.00 beers (it was a Monday) she mentioned it was Pabst and the rest were 5.00. Our bartender Hilary (who was lovely) mentioned that sleeman, Pabst, bud and something else draft were 4.00. Heather, proceeded in front of us to argue with Hilary âI told them that at the doorâ. Pretty Rude. No communication clearly. We finally got our bud and it tasted like complete crap. Flat, warm, lines havenât been cleaned, ever? Looked like the managers family was in for dinner which seems to cause a lot of anxiety for the servers. Once they were finished the dinner they were behind the bar, back towards patrons (us) didnât say hi, anything, hanging around near the kitchen, totally unprofessional, brown bags to go. Just weird. I felt we were getting eye balled pretty good as we were there as well, because we were sitting at the bar?? We were well dressed...felt like we were intruding. The blonde server and Hilary seemed like the only normal ones in there, and I didnât even speak to the blonde girl! Anyways, we both work at a high end golf resort, chef and server. You never know who your patrons are so treat them all equally, whether we are just getting a night cap and dessert (which I didnât even order) or a 200.00 meal, because guess what. We all have access to trip advisor.
