We ate here while waiting for a parade to start in down town Wylie. They have great southern style home cooked meals with fixings at a good price.

Wonderful breakfast location! My first visit was the other day in which my family and I had breakfast. Family style cafe, locally run, with wonderful food and nice prices. As a first time customer, we received a free cinnamon swirl pancake -- wow! If I hadn't already had my taste buds set on the green chili omelet... well, next time. And there will be a next time. Friendly and efficient service. Definitely make this a stopping place.
Welcome to Mells Grill where you can find the Best BBQ & Burgers in TX. Yup that's right stop in and try it for yourself. Best, Mell
I love Melâs hamburgers and I love his catfish dinners! He makes the best French fries too! The owner, Mel is super friendly and loves to come and talk to you personally.

Took my dad there for a late lunch, the waitress we had was very scatter brained. We sat there for ever before we got any service and they were not busy. Only 2 other tables of customers. She kept forgetting things and spent to much time chatting with other staff while they were wrapping silverware. Instead of taking care of customers. Then we waited for ever for our food. Just simple burgers & fries. Food was okay, but my cheese was still cold on my cheeseburger and the fries are not fresh but frozen. Im sorry but I could have gotten a better burger & fries just across the street at Whattabuger for less! When this place first opened it was great, was not impressed this time. As there are to many other good choices nearby!!
Super happy to see a Starwood Cafe open in Murphy close to home! We are always happy to have more non-fast food breakfast options. We tend to visit at non-peak hours, weekdays around noon. We have visited 3 times since opening and havenât left unhappy. The classic breakfast options (bacon/eggs/hashbrowns) are done well and these are some of the best biscuits around. Super tall, light and fluffy with cream gravy. Fantastic coffee too! Had the avocado toast once; the amount of avocado was VERY impressive, but the bread wasnât adequately toasted and ended up pretty soggy. Service has always been friendly and sufficient, if a bit too hovering once. Overall we like this place and are thrilled to have another local option.
