This place is so good! I sat waiting for a train and had a juice staring at peoples' breakfasts and making a mental note to come back ASAP. Managed to get back the next day and had fabulous poached eggs, tomato and spinach with 'keto' bread. I'm not a 'keto' person but wanted to taste their homemade bread option and it was terrific. Had jam on it too and it was also homemade and luscious. I took husband back the next day (yes three mornings in the 'Gong) and he loved it. He is a coffee nut and this place exceeded his standards. His breakfast looked delicious - with a hashbrown and bacon etc. Great vibe, terrific staff, airy and breezy, lots of cool things to buy and taste/health the priority. Wish we had one near where we live but will be first port of call in Wollongong from now on.

Local friends recommended this café to us for breakfast, as we were staying across the road at the Novotel. The food was sensational and we thoroughly enjoyed the café. The staff were very helpful and accommodating for dietary requirements. The menu, service and food presentation were excellent, with the meals leaning towards large. If sitting outdoors the view is looking down to the large pines of the street scape and North 'Gong Beach. The ocean breezes were most welcome on a hot day. It's a great cafe and we will definitely return next time we visit the Gong.

I rocked up at 11am on a Sunday, the place was only half full, wait staff couldn't have been more friendly to me, got me seated and had handed me a menu and taken my coffee order within a minute of arriving. My coffee came within 3 or 4 minutes, which was pretty tasty, and the waitress took my order then & there. I had my meal within about 10 minutes, although on a lazy Sunday I was in no rush and wouldn't have minded if it took longer.I went for the Santiago, a mix of eggs and pulled pork and salsa and morcilla (Spanish sausage) thick bread, and I ordered a side of smoked salmon. Everything was amazing and very filling. I could've had a whole place of the morcilla, it was that good. I could see myself coming back again.

A local favourite for breakfast, lunch and campos coffee. Operating out of a charmingly old terrace building with a florist and homewares store upstairs.
Hmmm, what can I say? My smashed avo came with pickled strawberries and cinnamon berry ricotta. It was all very...okay. Nothing to make me go âI have to eat here againâ. Still not convinced the combination worked. But the staff were lovely and attentive, and it had a great atmosphere. One of our party ordered the crepes, and she said they were absolutely delicious, so thereâs that.

I was here in 2017 and the restaurant seemed to have been abandoned but I'm pleased to see it is open again and apparently doing a thriving trade, even during the week. The staff are welcoming and helpful and our meals were delicious. Gluten free is available although not many options. The main attraction is of course the view and grab a window seat if possible. You will not want to leave.

Local cafe with beautiful views over the South side of Bulli Beach, NSW. Serving brekkie, lunch, dinner and drinks. Come dine in or take-away!
We stopped at this restaurant during a small guide tour. The tour guide ordered ahead so everything was ready when we arrive. We were in the dining room with a great view. There were several nice gluten free options. I had the quinoa chickpea salad with chicken which was delicious and a big portion- I did not need to add the chicken.

I wandered into this cafe a little by accident. I highly recommend the protein and salad plate - all of the food was a revelation. Really good quality and much better than I would have expected. If I lived in Wollongong this would become my go-to lunch place. Great service too!

In Wollongong on business and chose Lower East Cafe for lunch. Very quirky menu offering foods that are anything but the 'norm!' I had 'Bitter Sweet': basically a salad with red cabbage, lettuce, capers, walnuts, mandarin, marinated cabbage, a beautiful dressing plus I optioned halloumi: very enjoyable! Lower East have a reputation for superb coffee, although I didn't indulge today. Multi-cultural Wollongong serves up a winner!
