The Timberline Cafe is where western hospitality meets your grandmother's home cooking. We pride ourselves on the highest quality ingredients (Certified Angus Beef, anyone?) and made-from-scratch goodness on our soups, sauces, addicting hand-cut fries and
First of all to be fair the server was nice, however the food was horrible. It was nothing more that a heated TV dinner. I guess if you don't know how to cook you wouldn't know the difference. Terribly over priced for what it is. Avoid.

When visiting Yellowstone National Park, and staying in West Yellowstone, this place was recommended to us by a local. We were not sure, due to the 30 minute drive north of West Yellowstone to get there, but upon arrival we realised that it was worth the drive. The setting is so beautiful and majestic that I am unable to discribe the experience. The cottage restaurant is nestled near a river with so very many tall trees surrounding the rustic buildings yet not enough to obscure the view. It is very quiet dispite the flowing river. The restaurant doubles as a fly fishing store for the nearby river. The wonderful smells of breakfast greet you as you open the door of your vehicle. The staff are friendly and the restrurant is warm and inviting with that good country home cooking atmosphere. The food is amazing and like I said, worth the trip. Just be sure to get there early so you can get a fresh baked cinnamon roll. They only make a certain quantity each morning. If they run out, and they will, you are out of luck until the next morning. This place is now a required stop when we visit Yellowstone National Park.

I first wrote about this place when it opened and it was great. However, now it is not so great. I got the Eiffel Tower burger a couple of times and this last time it was awful. They have taken some serious short cuts! Very sad .....

My friend and I stopped in here twice while we were staying in West Yellowstone for breakfast. I had the pigs in a blanket both times as you don't see these much anymore. Was very good!! Great staff and service!! My friend enjoyed his breakfasts too. Reasonable. Great little place to eat! Worth eating at!! Shouldn't be missed!!
