A good local Cafe with several good things going for it,usually a queue for the Ice Cream bar with good selections of Good Ice Cream, dining area seating also good with a varied menu, while there my wife had the Fish gojuns with Onion rings and small salad,I opted for the Super Chicken Chip, neither of us were disappointed in the food or the portions,a pot of good tea complimented the fare,Toilet facility is Very Good, price wise was very good, and all this well complimented by the Easy acess free parking facing the GENOA CAFE...We will be sure to return for more of the same....

Exactly what we were looking for with the all day breakfast and the lunch menu too. We enjoyed the veggie burrito bowl which has spicy beans, rice, peppers, onions guacamole, cheese and salsa. My partner got the breakfast burrito, which was fab. Great flavours and decent portion sizes.

I don't find this a particularly comfortable place to go. It's long dark and narrow with the kind of chairs that it's hard to relax in. So on the rare occasions I go its really a functionary experience. You eat and go as soon as your finished. It's not somewhere to meet a friend for a long chat over coffee. I do find the owner who manages the till a tad pushy. We both had a ham dinner. The food is pretty decent, unpretentious, simple home cooked food. But it's served in the most miserly portions to the point where they are verging on half portions. As soon as I got home I made a sandwich to fill the gap which isn't a great sign. The portions always seem so small and exact that I get the impression the cook probably has a set of weighing scales to make sure you get the exact amount she deems appropriate, not a gram more or less. I know I'm not the only person to have noticed. When I go out and pay for a meal it's nice to feel you're getting a meal and not just highly controlled half portions.

Went back last Saturday since my visit in April to have a coffee as I ran into an old friend. We went in and took a seat and chatted for 30 minutes. At no time did any member of staff approach us to put in an order. Left after our chat without putting in an order or getting anything to eat or drink. The staff just walked past us and chatted among themselves. There does not seem to be a manager or a senior member of staff to oversee what is going on or to direct them. Very disappointing again.
